Nice course, they are just in the process of filling in the sand….beautiful white silica when it’s there. Greens are super fast.

Enjoyable
The course was in reasonable condition given the winter in CA and that it's only mid-Feb. Greens are very good. As noted elsewhere, the bunkers are being upgraded, so just stay out of them, haha. We played at 745 and were round in 4 hrs for the of us. Place of play was great.
It's a very good test of golf. Thoroughly enjoyable and I'll pay it again for sure

Waste of time and money
I was never informed that 90% of the bunkers were being worked on. You had marshals roaming the course but I couldn’t figure out what they were doing. They sure didn’t do their job with making sure all of the golfers played at a decent pace. We teed off at 10:30 am and six hours later we finished our round. I caught glimpses of this course being really nice at o e time but it’s on the verge of becoming a goat track.

Course was in good condition greens fairways are running fast and they had a lot of work being done on their bunkers were there redesigning them as well as replace it with you sound so in a couple months should be much much better place to play

Bunkers were being improved with new white fluffy sand. Still have a ways to go.

Resurrected
First I have to commend the new owner, maintenance crew, staff and the new superintendent for making this golf course come back to life. I have not played this course for years due to overall bad conditions. Recently I’ve heard a lot of changes and some good reviews on this golf course so I booked a game to see if what most people say is true. This weekend was an eye opener for me, I could not describe what I was seeing the entire 18 holes. The word is ( RESURRECTED! ) the golf course came back to life as I described it in the beginning. I have lived in the area for many years and always played at Temecula Creek, RedHawk and Journey at Pechanga. Now I can say this new reincarnated golf course is in my all time favorite. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Great course layout
I love this layout , tough but fair. Course was still recovering from all the rain, so some pretty muddy saturated spots. They are redoing a lot of their traps, adding drainage and sand, should be good when complete. Good to see them putting the effort in, too many courses have dismal sand traps, (no sand), collected water.

Excellent course with challenging design and layout
Played the course 2 days after the rain stopped in San Diego and considering the amount of rain it was in really good condition. Most of the course was 90 degree. Typical RTJ layout with hazards and level changes. Greens were fast and breaking. Plenty of uphill shots into the greens. Staff was very good. Downside was the pace of play which is the only detractors. Will play again
