The Golf Club at Rancho California

I enjoy this course and layout. Not surprising considering the designer also designed Oakmont CC and Spyglass. The conditions are improving with the cooler weather. Bunkers are first rate with white sand. The fairway bunkers lack the soft white sand but it’s not really needed as these shots should be hit ball first. A few of the fairways are rougher than others but improving. Looking forward to playing again.

Beautiful course and views. It’s a challenging layout, but is in need of work. Many of the tee boxes had only one tee marker for the white tees. Lots of dried brown grass on the back nine and dried ponds that looked disgusting (maybe hole 16 or 17). Some bunkers had fluffy white sand, while others appear to have dirt. One bunker had a very thin layer of white sand in it. Lots of muddy areas and water flooding he cart path. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is my local course and i love it. Challenging but fair and conditions were good.

This is not a 4star course: the fairways were not well maintained re: bare patches, weedy areas, and uncut patches. Tee boxes were same and some uneven. Pace was horrendously slow (4:30) because on the Par 4 3rd t-box 3 groups waited with one group on fairway…all because groundskeeping decided to water the entire hole during a very packed course/round. That watering held up play for 30 min and backed up the whole day (very incompetent grounds person or poor watering philosophy). It was very hot this day and drinking water was scarce…..water jugs that were available tasted horrible (as if it had been in the dispenser jugs for multiple days or the jugs were unclean inside).

Challenging layout and the staff are working on many improvements to the course. A few areas were a bit soft due to overseeding efforts and the unusually hot weather recently, but still an excellent experience and a good value for this part of SoCal. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. They also have an excellent practice facility.

I loved this course! Can’t believe the value for the money. I’ll bee playing here often from now on. The best thing was the staff. Friendly helpful and generous. I forgot my wedge and the guy let me borrow one for my round. Super nice guy as was everyone I talked to. The pace of play was regulated properly . Really can’t say enough about the golf course and Staff. They’ve gained a customer for life.

Good course. Pace of play was great. 4 hour round. The Marshall was on the slow players. The greens are playing a little slow.

Golf course was not well maintained. During our golf session we had a transient playing in the sand traps. Very poor customer service. Was wrongfully double charged green fees. Contacted the office to have them reimburse me one of the charges. I sent over my bank statements to show proof and they refused to reimburse me. Very poor customer service. General manager Dave didn't even have the decency to return my email or call me back. Now having to dispute charges through credit union. I will not be back!

The staff here is beyond rude. They are annoyed when you walk into the pro shop. The started is mad that you’re starting. Cancelled my tee time cause it was pouring rain and they still charged me. It’s over priced for bathrooms that look like they were built when murrieta was discovered. There’s no cart to come out and sell you anything and if you’re waiting for your drinks or food at the turn the pro shop people will yell at you that you need to hurry up. Book somewhere else and you’ll actually have fun

Def will be back, just wish I had seen a cart girl no one came bye once .

Even in very hot weather, the lawn was well maintained.

The course layout is great, Challenging and fun course, friendly staff fairways are in ok/good condition some yellow spots but nothing overwhelming. The edges can be a little brown. The boxes are pretty rough though. The restrooms on the course are in horrible shape, discussing. pretty disappointing for the price you pay to play. no food cart, and snack bar is back up by pro shop, not close to the 10th hole, so get food before you tee off the first hole.

Overall pretty good just need to spend a couple bucks and clean up those bathrooms. some of the carts are GPS so remember to request one.
