Back up on 10! Photo submitted by CTGRANDIN on 12/31/2012
Unfriendly pro shop
Cart was infested with ants, anything left in the center consul and rear basket was covered with them, constantly found them crawling on me. Pro shop staff was unfriendly, cold and ridged… no room for common sense. They act like golfers are an inconvenience and were uninviting, the two old men running it acted like they couldn’t be bothered. Snack bar closed early.
Fairways are patchy, greens too soft, very lumpy.
Good for the money
Course conditions, except for greens, were pretty bad. Fairways were pretty shabby. I would not pay full rack rate.
Summertime Conditions
I have played Rancho California a handful of times. Course has always been in good condition. Considering it is the middle of summer and was100 degrees when I played I would say the course is in pretty good shape. Greens were soft and very receptive. Tee boxes were also in decent shape. Fairways were firm and a little thin is places. Again, middle of summer and 100 degree days. I am not knocking the course. Just summer in SoCal. Our group played in 4hr 35min on a Sunday.
My only negative comment. I didn’t see a beverage cart the entire round. Could have used a water or gatorade on a 100 degree day. There was one water cooler on the front and one on the back. Could have used a couple more.
Bad Owner
Owner is very petty towards GolfNow customers! Treated as 3rd class so why even do business with GolfNow? Absolutely no one on the course yet owner will scold the check in person if he lets GolfNow players go out just a little early or even have their own carts. Ridiculous when absolutely no one is on the course playing and there are plenty of carts during a very hot sunny day. I would see other singles here and there with their own carts to themselves while GolfNow have to pair up. VERY PETTY! Don’t do business with GolfNow if you are like this! Not a good impression on how the course is run. By the way overall conditions are deteriorating; spotty dried out fairways, bad tee boxes and poor greens. The way I see it is you need all the customers you can get!
Murrieta Golf
The weather was very hot, 105 degrees, but I was paired up with nice gentleman, Robby, who was familiar with the course. He was very helpful even though I did not play well this day. The pace of play was outstanding, we finished the 18 holes in just under 3 hours. I definitely want to play here again.
Murietta golf
Couse was challenging. And pace was good. Was not to pleased that I had to pay for my cart when on golf now had cart Included, but due that not enough cart, I could not my own cart without paying again. I will not definitely come back by myself again so they can change me again $20 for my cart. The discount on golf now was not worth it.
Good classic course - worth playing
Played mid-morning on a Saturday. Warm to start and hot at finish. Course was crowded but a mix of 2somes, 3somes and 4somes which caused some waiting. Especially because one foresome was unbelievably clueless. After the group in front of us skipped through them after waiting on the whole front 9, we got to witness the cluelessness of the group. We sat on the tee for about 10 minutes after they hit and one guy hit his ball about 50 yards into the pond. Parked his cart and walked around (without a club and a ball for another 5-10 minutes with no interest or awareness. 2 guys were on the green, but two were clueless. After waiting for 20 minutes where the one 2 some hadn't even swung a 2nd or third shot towards the green, we skipped the hole and went to 11. Marshall was aware of them, but didn't succeed in moving them along.
Ugly
1st and last visit. Not nice. Not friendly. Not flexible.
Need to plant some grass.
Greens were good and bunkers had rare white sand. T boxes awful.
Course needs some TLC
Fun layout
Friendly staff. Good layout, excellent green condition but some fairways need some TLC. Good pace today(7/6/24) 4 hrs 15 mins. Will come back.
Murrieta course
Save money on Golf now hot time but they charge me a $20 on the golf cart when I paid on golf now for cart due to could not have my own cart. So the saving on my golf was gone from paying for my own cart. Would not play this course again without a partner.
Bitchinn
First time there, been wanting to play it for a while
Didn’t disappoint
