Just 7 miles west of downtown Riverside, Paradise Knolls Golf Club tee times will open the door to an 18-hole, par 72, course that plays 6,281 yards from the back tees, and has a slope rating of 117. Designed by Bill Wood, and opened in 1964, the course uses a combination of tree-lined fairways and greenside bunkers to create a fun, and challenging day of golf. The signature hole at Paradise Knolls is the par 3, 12th hole, which plays 230 yards from the tips, and has a green, which slopes front to back, and left to right. There is also one small lake on the course, which sits greenside of the short par 4, 5th hole. The hole plays 275 yards from the back tees, enticing players to try to drive the green, which does have a small opening between the water and a front left bunker.
Many players have made good use of their Riverside golf deals at Paradise Knolls and in addition to the great golf enjoyed their instructional programs, run by PGA Professional staff, the large practice putting green, and their 2,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, which can accommodate up to 150 guests for banquets, tournaments, and weddings. Comments from others following their Riverside tee times paints a nice picture of their experiences at Paradise Knolls Golf Club, finding the course fun and enjoyable.

Nice course
Excellent course for the price. Seems to cater to seniors however the yardage’s are fairly long
Poorly run course.
This course seems to just stuff as many players as they possibly can into the same tee times and this practice of theirs seems to be getting worse. I reserved a tee time for a morning round on a Tuesday. I show up and there’s a huge pile up on hole #1. There’s also four foursomes lined up on deck. Plus, four people doing simulataneous practice swings together in the tee box. I see that hole #10 is wide open. I ask the guy in the office if I can start on the back-9 instead and he says, yes. So I go out to the back 9 and I’m waiting for a 5-some that just appeared out of nowhere. One person in that very same 5-some is walking, yet his four buddies are in carts! Seriously, what gives? When I get to the green of hole 10, a Marshall drives up and asks me if I just “jumped in” on the hole? I said that I was given permission from the guy at the cash register in the pro shop to start on the back-9. The Marshall starts using a cuss word that starts with the letter F and says he is so “ticked off” (to clean up his language), at how slow another foursome is on hole#12, blah blah blah... The marshal then tells me that I must join the group ahead of me because I’m slowing the pace down for everyone else? Excuse me? I ask him how in the world am I slowing it down when I’m a single player waiting for a foursome and a five some both directly ahead of me, all the while you (Marshall) stop me to have a talk? He then says, “well that’s golf.” He adds, “well, you should have made a tee time reservation.” I said, “I DID!” His meek reply was, “oh.” He just drove away angrily talking to himself, dropping another bad word that starts with the letter F. This is the third time now where I‘ve experienced these large pile-ups of people all teeing off at the same time, from this course. The Marshalls at this course are a joke and so is their online reservation system. It’s no wonder this place is closing to a future housing development in December (so they say). I tell you, INDIAN HILLS and JURUPA HILLS are sooooo much more organized and nicer courses, while located just up the street from this dump. Never again.
PK
Good for the $$. Course could use a little better mateinence. Greens need some too. You get what you pay for. But playing with friends is what it’s all about.
Going down hill
Well it’s safe to say my friend and I may have played our last round at Paradise Knolls. We have played here well over 30 times and up until recently the playing surface has been consistently well kept. Ever since we heard the course was being bought to put homes on it, seemingly enough the course conditions have gone down hill. Will be sad to see this course go... Even more sad is that it already is on a downward slide.
Nice course
I had to play here just to say I did, especially since the course is slated for closure soon. A developer bought the course and it won’t last forever. The course was crowded and the fairways are really narrow. Several times, golfers crossed over into my fairway just to get their ball back within bounds for their hole. The course conditions were pretty well maintained and the staff was outstanding. I will for sure play here again because it’s a fun and easy course.
Uneven greens but fairly green in fairways
We had a foursome played on the course on Friday, September 15. The course just had aerification on the greens, leaving uneven surfaces and slow, unpredicted rolls. However, the fairways were quite green, compared to other courses in the area. The discounted rate from the website was a good bargain.
Best bang for your buck
Good price decent course friendly staff
Great breakfast burrito.
What else can you ask for.
Great day
It was indeed a great day for golf. Greens, fairways and t-boxes are in very good shape, played until after 8pm.
All 4 players enjoyed playing this course. It was the first time for all of us. We would definitely play it again. The staff was very friendly and we liked that.
Best Course for serious golfers!!!
This course made me love golf again. I used to be 100+- player. This course gives you the vision and all you should do is play calmly. Use irons on short par 4s, you will definitely lower your score. But if you are a good driver you will have chances for eagles on short par 4s. I scored my first eagle on the par5 17 hole. I find the greens a bit tricky. Try to avoid 3 putt shots.
Train wreck
I will start with the only positive from this course and that was the greens were in good condition, beside that I have no reason to ever waste my money on this course ever again. The pro shop had 1 person working the counter with about 15 people in line, most of which were from a men's club they were trying to rush out before tournament. The staff overall seemed like they didn't have a clue and were not friendly whatsoever. The tee boxes are uneven and flat out awful, the sprinklers were on while trying to play some holes and there was standing water on the course. No marshall anywhere to regulate any sort of course etiquette, like people driving carts up by the greens. Definitely the last time I play this course.
Early play
Course was very lush, beautiful green. Sand traps were like concrete, very hard, with puddles of water. It did rain the day before. Great value for the money spent.
