We play gplf 1-2 times a month.
course is goood.
price is good to.
We enjyed play any time.
But price.....price.......price...
We always looking for under #30-
So nice and great service.
We are happy to play again.
San Dimas Canyon - Very nice layout
The greens were in great shape! The fairways were lush and tight!
Good Value
THis is a well maintained tight course with solid par 3's, but squrilly Par 5's.... Back nine seems more manifactured and less playable then the front, but this is a decent course for the value if booked through Golf Now.
Bad Day
I booked a GolfNow tee time here and was told they were backed up 15-20 min. No problem, however there are 2 things wrong with this explanation:
1) This is the same excuse they give every weekend, nothing has changed and they continue to overbook regularly and the marshalls do absolutely nothing to maintain a proper pace on the course.
2) The 15-20 minute backup is never 15-20 min, but closer to 45minutes and they wont be upfront about it as they want your green fee, on top of that they run out of carts all the time. I tee'd off on #1 and then had to wait for a cart to arrive 5-10 minutes later!
This course is a nightmare on the weekends and shouldnt be visited unless you want to pay to ruin your day.
Can get challenging...
Narrow fairways and fast greens. Can get backed up around the 4th hole. Don't expect any quick play after 1p.
Staff is embarrassingly horrible
Great golf course but the staff is horrible. Very unfriendly and treat you like they don't want you there. Horrible course management took me 6 hours to play 16 holes on a Friday morning because they had a tournament going on and tried to squeeze the public in between. Never going back to this course even if it's free
Narrow, but fun to play.
Although the course is narrow with either water or OB coming into play on a number of holes, it is not overly long but still challenging and fun to play. An added bonus are the plethora of deer that make the course their home.
not smooth at all....
very slow ... hopefully marshals can do something....!!!
Nice scenic short track with great greens
First of all, great staff. Nice short track with great greens, there may be some local knowledge with the breaks as some putts seemed to break uphill. Will definitely return for the greens if nothing else. Had no complaints with layout, fairways are in great shape for this time of year, I maybe hit driver off the tee twice due to thin fairways and short, but challenging holes. Plenty of deer in the gallery. The whole place was visually appealing with good food and drinks in the clubhouse. The marshal even let us go out for few extra holes to settle the skins. Thanks to the staff for a great day even though Mir was late again.
TOO LONG TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!
the course in nice but pace of play is HORRIBLE!!!! 5 1/2 hours to play we teed off on a Friday at 1pm and finished at 6:30pm ..that's way to long.... i like this course but probably wont play here again for the simple fact the it takes to long to play...its a shame...
Great golf course well maintained
Staff needs to put more effort on customer service. The front desk representative seemed to be upset I didn't get greeted for example: he didn't start with a good morning or how are you, he started with "are you checking in?? Its 45 dollars per player". The ladies at the snack bar were more interested in their gossip they spoke spanish, probably because they thought I didn't understood them but they were wrong. In short, the customer service was very dissapointing for such a great course. I will come back but service has to make drastic changes to improve.
Nice Course, but you better play well enough to keep a fast pace.
As local courses go, this one is kept up quite well. It's greens were smooth, even and clear of debris. My only negative was the method or lack of method they used for scheduliing their tee times. When I booked mine online using GolfNow they only had three spots available for the time I chose (5:52AM). No problem we were a threesome, so I figured they had a single already booked and we would join up for the round. At 5:52AM it is still too dark to play as they had no lights on the first tee. So we waited until we could see well enough to find our way. There was nobody behind us when we began. By the time we got to the first green, a twosome was shooting up to us. Now we are not speed players, but we know course etiquette and do keep a good pace. The course found it necessary to send Marshals to us on two occasions asking us to speed it up. Kinda takes the fun out of the game at that point.
Great scenery, beautiful holes to go along great views.
Course in very good shape, greens are fast. Staying below the hole on approach shots will help a lot in scoring. Mountains influence putts so pay attention.
Smiling after a 103...
Had a great time. The staff was great starting with Jim at the counter to Lloyd at the 1st tee to the staff at the diner. They were all great!!! Which made our experience one of our best times.. Next time I hope to shoot better.
Golf Givith and Takith
The first three holes are very scorable holes I am usualy under par. I always seem to bogey either 4 or 5. Birdie or Eagle 6 Bogey or Double 7 par or Bogey 8 Birdie or Par 9. Get my drift. This course is a give and take course. Very beautiful looks. Greens are nice. Can be hilly can be flat in places. Some holes have traps, others have water. Some are long. Some have easy to approach greens. Others have hard landing areas. Trees, Hills, Water are all there but some of the holes set you up to become too confident and that is it gets you. you can't believe that you just did that. Looked up wanting to see it go in the hole now you are in the water. Its like to pretty girl who invites you in for a drink and then just when you make your move cry's HELP
A Really Nice Course
Well maintained course, way better than Marshall Canyon.
Great discounts on Golfnow.com
The course has some challenged holes and needs to have good course management
The course is well maintained and have great views with serene mountain scenery.
Picturesque, secluded course with great water features and a family of deer
Great course, fairways are maintained and wide open, green had some divots but overall excellent condition. Best feature is no houses nestled in the course giving you a feeling of being in a resort-like environment. We were lucky that there was no one infront of us at our tee time. However, at third hole, I was almost hit by a ball from an anxious twosome ladies. We allowed them to play thru us and they apologized so it's all good. Great GPS screen giving each hole layout. Staff were very friendly and had good sense of humor.
I enjoyed how fast the greens were and the shape they were in.
Very nice course to play and in excellent shape.
Friendly staff, very helpful and understanding.
Nice Course
The pace of play was rather slow, but it was abnormally crowded the day I went. I would like to play this course again in the near future it was a great value for the money
