The Reserve at Spanos Park

The course is well maintained.

It is a new course, so the trees are still growing. This makes the course wide open, so if you slice, like I do, you should be able to get up and down anyway.

The staff is friendly, and the restaurant and bar is inviting for a post-round drink.

Only my third time playing, yet I know it is one of the best courses between Lodi and Modesto. Worth the 30 minute drive for me.

Typical winter conditions and better. Course played very fair. Greens were pristine.

The Reserve is a great course, if playing well you will be rewarded, if not it can eat you alive. As it should be, love to play this course.

The course is very spacious, which comes in handy on errant drives and the rough is cut close which gives you the opportunity for a good 2nd shot. The greens require some serious work; once they’re properly maintained this will be an excellent course

It was a treat to play a course in such good condition tee through Green. Definitely looking forward to playing the course again in the near future. GolfNow continues to provide great courses and great prices!

Its been a few years since I last played at this course. Cant believe I had forgotten this one. The conditions are among the best I have been to this year and for the price I paid $23 you cant play a better course anywhere in northern California.

Mid November and the most perfect weather--and no wind! It was a beautiful day and the course was in great shape. The sand hazards are everywhere and contribute to a challenging round, but watch out--they can sneak up on you, too. The greens were fast but true. From the 1st. tee box to the 18th green, I enjoyed this course.

My brother and I played on a Thursday. Round only took 4 hours and we saw the marshal regularly. He kept us informed about the tournament in front of us and was helpful. The green were fast and true. We had a great time even though our scores were high. It was difficult.

The greens here are very fast. Some of the fastest greens I've ever played on but the fairways are wide open and the pins were in fair spots so you still can score low. The course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly. Had a great time here and will defiantly will be going back.

If the delta winds are brought into play, you could be in for one of the more challenging rounds that you ever want to play.

This was my first time playing the Spanos Reserve. Links style course, attractive, fair. Multi-tiered greens were very firm, smooth, and fast - putting speed control is crucial. Layout has just enough water, wind, and sand to keep it interesting. My buddies and I definitely plan to play here again.

Staff were cordial, but could be a little more outgoing. Two brands of tap beer were sold out at the bar.

Hint: consider sharing a 'small' bucket with your buddy... probably 60 balls in a small.

Only minute away from freeway 5, all covered with grass from tee box to green

Spanos is probably the best thing going for Stockton, and it's barely even in Stockton. About 27 minutes away from Elk Grove is this perfectly maintained and interesting course. The course features plenty of water, lush vibrant grass, and speedy greens. Inexperienced golfers will be fine here, with a decent amount of driveable fairways. Honestly, the course is just a beauty, and definitely one of the best courses in the Sacramento-Stockton area. They always seem to offer good discounts on Golfnow, usually cheaper than the muni's in Sacramento.

This course is playable for everybody just be careful on the greens they are fast

Lots of sand traps and some great water hazards...make for a challenging and beautiful course. Had lots of fun. This was my first time shooting this course.

Course well maintained for the Stockton area. Over priced for what is offered. Would recommend if it was worthy of price demanded for course play at this facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A good place to play if all other courses are booked in the area.

Got paired with married couple. Had to push them along to keep pace with the group ahead of us. Still couldn't do it.

Played this course for the first time in about 3-4 years, and it was in solid shape. The back 9 got a bit windy, and I'm not familiar enough with it to determine if the front 9 was more protected, or if conditions changed (conditions were the same in sacramento when I left that morning, but seemed much calmer through the first 9). No complaints about the course, It is just as I remembered it.

Wish the pace of the game could be a little faster. Need more marshals to monitor the pace.
