not what it thinks it is
I play this course because my friends like it, but the price point on the weekends is absurd. It's a short course that tests one skill, which is hitting it straight. If you can hit it straight, you will score easily; otherwise it's all penalty drops and punch-outs.
There are basic things about course management that the management does not understand. For example, there is no reason to water the course an hour before play starts. That's what irrigation timers are for. Also, for some reason they aren't able to change the pin placements for the day until play as started, so there is a maintenance worker doing that while your round is in progress. What's worse, he moves in the same direction as play, rather than upstream, so you can get stuck with the pin placement guy for several holes.
Usually they color code the flags for front-middle-back, but sometimes they don't bother, so you hit at a white flag only to discover that the pin is back. The greens are small enough that it doesn't matter that much, but even a mid-handicapper would like to know the distance to better than 10 yards.
The fairways have so many bare and pitted spots that you either have to play preferred lies or accept a high degree of randomness. The rough is not that bad in most places, so you're usually better off a yard or two off the fairway rather than in it, because you're more likely to get a decent lie.
They get a ton of beginners who just want to drink beer and mess around, which is okay, but it can sometimes make play very slow. The marshals, when they're out there at all, are clueless -- I complained to one that the group ahead of us was out of position, and he said, "What's that mean?"
Generally the course offers a satisfying, if mediocre, experience, but the weekend pricing is completely out of line. If not for my friends choosing the course out of comfort, I'd never consider it on the weekends.
Great course, awesome pace, reasonable price!
This course was great to play at 6am. Got paired with two very senior course regulars that were awesome! Nothing felt too long or too unfair, and the greens were in great shape.
Good value
Better be straight off the tee box, most holes are lined with houses. Good challenge, greens were in good shape.
Basic golf course

Could be better
Charging $88 to play on a Friday is a rip off
Greens are ok
Fairways have dry spots
Bunkers need work
Enjoyable Local Course
UPCC is a great local course. The course is challenging and the value is excellent. The staff is friendly and 1906 is a great place to spend the 19th hole. With green fees out of control you can count on UPCC to be a great value.
Nice Course. Great Staff. Slooow Greens
Nice Course. Great Staff, Restaurant and Drinks Cart.
The Greens are considerably slower than other nice courses in the area and it's hard to adjust speed from one green to the next.
Not a bad course for the price!
The price was killer on Golf Now! Very tight fairway so definitely a little bit challenging to the average player! Very tricky course and fun! The greens were pretty good and it’s a really pretty course! Keep in mind the greens are a little bit slower but once you adjust it’s a relaxing place! American flags on the Bar and the houses! Very great place to spend a day off at! Carts and technology are really cool!
Course is great
More options needed twilight golf. It is light till 7:30. Clean up the blue graffiti on #12 tee box and remove the old tire on the baseline street along #8 . Both have existed for years and detract from the nice facility. Both a constant eyesore, particularly when we have tournaments and junior pga events with their parents. 1906 appears well run and the owner/ Kevin excellent in helping promote the total facility.
Value for money
Very good price for weekend play. Value for your money.
Solid Course but….
To start with took a late tee time and was told at the time of arrival carts had to be in by 730 this was not mentioned when booking the tee time. So that would have been nice to know that we needed to grip and rip prior to booking. Yee boxes were destroyed on every par 3s and layup par 4s. No cart girl. Greens were solid just hard to pace as some ran and others were slow. The main thing that was annoying was shooting 9, 10 and 18. They had a weeding in the banquet room, playing through the music was ok but they did not stop the wedding party from obnoxiously honking their car horns after the wedding ceremony completed when we were playing 9 & 10. While playing 18 the honking continued but this I assume was when wedding guests were leaving the facility. Disrespectful by the guests and shame on staff for not regulating on this.
