Great course, great value
I think Bristow is one of the nicer layouts in the DMV. It's a little out of the way, but worth the drive. I'll definitely come back to play.
I played after several weeks of extremely hot weather. I was pleasantly surprised by the very good course conditions. The tees were just ok, but the fairways and greens were very good to excellent. There were some pretty bare bunker spots, though. And a lot of ball marks.
I agree with other reviewers that local course knowledge (and/or a better golf gps app than I had) would have been very handy.

Great round
Pace of play was very good. Course was in very good condition considering the recent rainstorms that were in the area. Bunkers were 50% water on some holes.

Great Course with One Issue
Excellent course which was for the most part in really good shape. The greens were great shape and even despite the recent heat, the fairways were also in good shape. My only issue with this course is the sand traps. They are in terrible condition with some being so bad you can't even hit out of them. Overall, a great challenging course.

The fairways and rough were showing signs of the recent heat. The greens, on the other hand, were in very good shape. For those with concerns about COVID-19, this course was filling all their carts, unlike any others I've played the last four months.

Great Shape!
Love the course except for 2 or 3 holes which are VERY CHALLENGING! The course was in super shape and we had a great day playing in a charity event with a good pace of play. Maintenance crew were all friendly along with the clubhouse staff and drink cart drivers! I had my daughter's wedding reception at Bristow and they do a great job with that also! FORE, BobtheGolfer!!

Makes You Play Golf, not Bomb and Pitch
This course requires that you choose your tee shot well, especially the Front Nine. Play with a person with course knowledge or bring GPS app/device with bird's eye view.
Pace of play was a little slow on the front but Marshall addressed it. Golf carts are zippy.

Good course lousy customer service
I've enjoyed playing at Bristol Manor on numbers occasions however, on this particular day I was put off by the lack of customer service by the guy who was working in the pro shop. At first I thought it was just me who was put off by the lack of courtesy to me a black man in comparison to how he greeted the white guy in line behind me. However, one of my playing partners who went in to pay his green fees after me made a comment (although I hadn't mentioned my experience to him). He also told us that there were not enough golf carts available for us to have separate ones in an attempt to practice safe social distancing. However, as we were playing our round we noticed that there were several white golfers who teed off after us in separate carts. I doubt that I'll spend my money there again.

Best Golfing Value in the DMV
I’ve been playing at Bristow for 20 years and always enjoyed the challenging layout. But over the years the course conditions weren’t always pristine. In the last 2-3 years I’ve seen significant improvements - new restrooms, patio, cart paths and the course is always in great condition - with the exception of the sand traps which have improved but still need some work. By almost any measure I think it is a better course than other local courses with green fees twice as high.
