Heritage Golf Links - Tradition Nine

Heritage is unique among Atlanta public courses for the fairway moguls and steeply sloping greens. It’s a pretty reliably fun course. Kinda pinball-y. Not boring. It gets a ton of rounds so it’s a little beat up in spots (tee boxes and places where the runoff has exposed the red clay), but greens were fine, bunkers were soft, and fairways will be fine in a few more weeks. Staff was really helpful. Keep up the good work Heritage! Atlanta needs sturdy, fun public courses.

Huge disappointment, staff was friendly but this place needs a lot of work.

My only complaint is you never get a good lye. Not because of course conditions there are just no flat parts. Very challenging but fun, makes you really work on your course management game.

Absolutely beautiful facility. Tough greens maintained very well.

It is absolutely criminal for this course to be charging anywhere near $80 for a round. You do not get 18 holes of value out of a round.

The tee boxes are in terrible condition, especially the barren tee boxes on hole 3.

The bunkers are full of mud and gravel.

The greens are in terrible shape, especially hole 2.

To top it all off, the marshalls completely fail to keep up pace of play. You can easily end up waiting 10-15 minutes between shots depending on the hole. Expect your round to last 5+ hours.

Like every other course in the area it is struggling with all of the rain. However, still a fun course and greens are good enough for the most part

The starter seemed a little confused about his job but was a very nice older guy and so no big deal there. The course is in decent to good condition especially considering the weird weather the grounds keepers are having to deal with atm. The staff are great here. Super friendly and helpful. Really impressed with their “can-do” attitudes. The driving range and chipping, putting green and bunker options for practice are great! I normally play in CA and honestly the courses there seem much better maintained than any public courses I’ve played around ATL but so far as local public courses around ATL go that I’ve played, Heritage is the best maintained and I’d happily play her again. Even if the group of old ladies in front of us were slow and 100% stole both our golf balls as we drive up to our approach shots!

Second time playing this course and its very challenging with fast undulated greens. Fairways were still dormant. Still I enjoyed the course and will try to hit it again later in the season.

Course was not in great shape, even for this time of year. Traps had little to no sand, greens were full of poana, tee boxes had little to no grass, range wasn't open etc....they have a lot of work to do to bring this course up to value in my opinion.

The course is in bad shape. No grass in the fairways... unraked bunkers . greens were below average because not all were puttable- see #2 on Heritage. I expected more and better course conditions for my money. Won't be playing there again however judging by the parking lot, very crowed, so most that play there may not have my same values and expectation for courses.

Really liked this course, but played early in the season and some spots of the tee boxes and fairways pretty torn up. Layout is fantastic love the slope (pun intended). If in better shape would expect higher greens fees.
