Really disappointed

Beautiful day on the course but got stuck behind a VERY Slow foursome who didn't know what ready golf meant which was frustrating.

In addition, b/c the Golf club had a wedding and reception after, they closed 2 of the 3 nines which made for an extremely slow back 9. The round ended up being 5 1/4 hours and it really shouldn't have been.

Good, challenging course.

This was only my 5th or 6th round of golf ever, but was certainly the most challenging course I've played on so far (Steel Canyon and Chastain are the only others). Nevertheless the course offered a great, challenging game despite being somewhat difficult to navigate at times. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the course itself is beautiful.

Interesting and fun course, bad player ball marking etiquitte

First, overall, this is a really fun and interesting course to play. I played Legacy/Heritage. I enjoyed the Heritage back 9 more than the Legacy front 9, as it at least had more holes you could actually see where the greens were. Very hilly and tight fairways that are very tough unless you already know the course, which is not a bad thing. Just very tough if you haven't played there before.

Generally, the course was in good shape...except for the greens and the bunkers.

I'd read many reviews of this course and they were correct...for some reason, people don't fix their ball marks on the greens! There's a sign in the cart almost begging people to fix their marks, clearly to no avail. Aside from that, the greens were great. One of the few courses I've played here in Atlanta where you can actually stop the ball and had consistent roll. Too bad people are just jerks and don't keep the greens nice for anyone else.

Sadly, the bunkers were terrible. Even though it hadn't rained recently, most were wet and rock hard. It was impossible to tell how to play out of them until you actually hit one. They really need to fix that. I just gave myself extra strokes anytime I had to play out of a bunker.

I'd also read a lot of reviews that talked about slow pace of play. My group luckily didn't have anyone in front of us until late in the back 9. However, one of our foursome was really bad at spending too much time looking for his balls, which are easily lost on this course, and slowed down the play behind us. I imagine the people behind us felt like the pace was really slow, as they had to wait at every hole. I can see how this could happen regularly here with how tight the fairways are and how easy it is to lose balls. If everyone stuck to proper etiquette and only took a few minutes to look, it would be fine.

Public golf greens

The layout is fun teen to green, but the greens arent what they used to be. Theyre slow and spongy.

Slow play and Green need help

The range was closed in the morning, pace was slow and if I was the pro shop I would give golfers a divot repair tool. I fixed at least 5-8 divots per hole. No diet drinks on the drink cart.

Would play it again.

Sand Traps

It would be much much nicer if they would put ACTUAL REAL SAND I. The sand traps instead of dried up dirt!!!
