Heritage Golf Links - Tradition Nine

Booked to play 18 holes. Being from out of town I expected to play by myself or be paired with others. Was paired with a local golfer who was personable and pleasant, each having our own cart. At the end of the 9th hole, staff became insistent that I had to give up my cart and ride with the gentleman I had met since there was a high demand for golf carts. Sorry, the request to join a stranger, however pleasant, was not made to me before play started and the request to join the other golfer’s cart after 9 holes was unreasonable and rude. Riding policies should be clear and front and center then the customer then can decide to play or not. I requested a refund which they provided but the whole situation was totally unnecessary.

Despite Hot Deals and whatever financial incentive you think you're getting, please pause and rethink booking this course for a round! This experience is awful!+

The course is nice, but average. Greens were OK but tee boxes and other fairways areas were deplorable. The place was completely overbooked, and people were milling about with no masks and not following social distancing guidelines.

The staff is ridiculous. The starter guy really, really needs to retire, and the course rangers were worthless at best. We were behind a 5-some, yes, a 5-some on a Saturday they did not even realize there were 4 holes in front of them with no golfers. Hello, rangers...please do something. Our round took over 5 hours to play because of the the mis-management of playing.

I dont not recommend this course. They ususally want $79, but its worth $40 at best. Please avoid!.

They book tee time every 5 minutes and the course is backed up every hole. The fairway is not maintained

This morning I was stuck between a slow threesome that wouldn't let me play through and a twosome that wouldn't move up and join me. They stopped short of hitting into me, however, which I appreciated. When I made the turn from Legacy, I decided to try Traditions. It seemed the better option based on my first nine holes. Unfortunately the grounds crew was watering the greens over there.

This is the kind of experience you can have at Heritage. I'm not saying this will happen every time, but it happens way too often.

This is a pretty good layout depending on the 2 nines you play. Greens are very undulating but not in great shape, which is probably to be expected with such a high traffic public course. Pace of play is terrible. Need more rangers out keeping slow groups moving or out of the way. Not a great value here due to pace and course conditions but the layout isn’t bad. Again, since there isn’t much else in the area that is public they seem to be able to charge more than it’s probably worth to play. Worth checking out at least once.

Tough layout that with a large amount of sand. Problem is they are not super maintained. Not much sand in them and what’s the point of boasting so many traps when most of them are rock hard. Greens are ridiculous. Although well kept half of them have ridiculous elevation changes with tiers 3-5 feet up or down. Most cases not just one. Most hole locations are on a hill considering there isn’t a flat spot on a green to put it on. Walked up to a few greens thinking what idiot designed this? Fun course to play but don’t expect to score well if you can’t pin hunt or lag putt well with 15 feet of break.

Tee boxes were devoid of grass. Fairways were pretty much same as rough, and greens were bumpy and extremely slow. Bunkers have about half inch of sand, making it difficult to play bunker shots. I was very disappointed in the condition of the course.

Probably the most challenging course I’ve played in a while. Links style fairways, trees and some ridiculous greens. The slopes and tears on the greens are hard to believe. Play in the fairway and land near the pins and you’ll have a great day!
