Not as nice as it used to be

Greens are in absolutely terrible shape which is out of character for this course . I used to think heritage was a upper end Golf course but they are really slipping with maintenance. Range was bare and ripped up although the layout is nice. The snack bar closed at 3 pm which was really inconvenient. They were hosting a wedding so the bar was closed and you weren’t allowed to enter the building so no place to get ice or buy refreshments . Everything seemed chaotic and unorganized. I think they might have been hosting a tournament or something similar. Because of the wedding the 18th hole was shut down so they closed the heritage course so we were asked to play legacy and tradition which was fine because I Had not played tradition before . But All staff members seemed very unhappy and depressed which was kind of a bummer very gloomy atmosphere . Accept for the starter who is a very friendly and helpful older gentleman. Over all a bit disappointing I probably won’t return for a while . For the price there are much nicer courses to play that aren’t so uptight and pretentious and in much better shape . I really do like heritage and hope they address these things in the future

Mixed

Pros:

Very interesting and fun layout

Friendly staff

Beautiful driving range

Cons:

Extremely slow pace of play

Dozens of unfixed ballmarks on every green

Is ridiculous rain check policy

It took me nearly 90 minutes to play 5 holes when the skies opened up, and I only received about 40% of my green fee as a rain check.

Great but slow

7 minutes tee times are killing this place. Ended up with a round over 6 hours on a Friday afternoon which is nuts. Course is in solid shape and the row rice area is the best in the area. If you don’t mind taking up 1/4th of your day it’s a great Spot.

TOO LONG!!

It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. They booked 3 groups of 2 players in front of my group of 3. IT WAS A LONG WAIT ON EVERY HOLE!. Miserable day of golf!

Maintenance Needed

Pace of play was very good, but the course needs maintenance. Most greens were in fair to good shape, but a lot of ball marks not repaired. A couple tee boxes were in bad shape and all need to be cut lower.

no bargain

Course was in rough condition...especially for an $85 green fee. Too many bare or uncut tee boxes. LOTS of balls marks on the green.

Decent course

Overall the course was ok for a public course. Greens were extremely soft and players don’t fix their divots which is a problem. Green are pretty good but all the old divot mark are a problem with some putts. Also a lot of goose crap on some greens!? Overall decent course but a hard layout. Will plays it again…range balls suck!

Beat Up!

This course is looking rough. Most sand traps are basically unplayable mud pits. The greens are just beat! I guess no one repairs divots because every green was just decimated with divots, which makes putting a crap shoot. Then we had a 6-some in front of us. Not sure how that happens. Didn’t see one Marshall the entire round. Only saw the bev cart once. Generally, the place is in disrepair throughout. But it’s an awesome course. Very challenging. Green contours are tough. Lots of undulations in the fairways.

Pretty awesome course in the neighborhood.

Staff is nice, facilities are decent, and the layout is awesome and somewhat challenging but expect a lot of congestion on the course during the weekdays as a lot of seniors come to play. Average play time is 4 hours and 45 minutes. I had to sit and wait at each tee at least 5 minutes every time. And some patrons don't follow cart rules.

Awesome, Tough course

Very well designed course. Tons of raised greens in good condition. Punishing water and sand features if you try and go too long. Played early early Friday morning and had no issues with pace of play. Starter was very nice about letting us start early with a group of 3. Grill wasn't open when we made the turn at 9am but no big deal.

Only complaint was that the Heritage course had hard clay bunkers with shale pebbles mixed in. Who likes that?

Legit

The golf course consists of 3-9 holes courses, Heritage, Tradition and Legacy. This was my first time playing Legacy and it was Legit! The course is a challenge yet manageable. Legacy is very well maintained but Tradition could use a little TLC...not much but the other 2 are better.
