Worst Pace of Play I’ve Ever Experienced

At one point there were 4 groups stacked up on #5 tee box. The marshals did nothing to help the situation. Our tee time was at 3:25, we didnt tee off until 3:45. We made the turn at 6:45, and finished the round around 9pm.

The course was in decent shape but the pace of play made it unbearable, will probably not be coming back.

Excellent Condition

Had a fantastic round today - played the Legacy/Heritage track. Honestly, these are the best greens I have seen on a public course in Atlanta in 2 years. Greens were cross-cut and looked like a PGA tournament on TV. Lots of rain the week before we played left the course green and lush. Pace of play was 4:20 which was pretty good considering went off at 7:40 on a busy Saturday morning. Course has great facilities, both at the start and out on each 9. Very challenging layout - you won't find many flat spots outside of the tee boxes. Played pin position 2 today, which left for some very fun long putts. We got our money's worth today.

This course is always in great condition

The course and the majority of the staff were great. Fairways in good shape and the greens were excellent. My only complaint is that a Marshall followed my foursome for at lease the first 9 holes for some reason. We were playing ahead of pace and actually had to wait for the group in front of us several times, but we were the ones being followed. He never spoke to us or said anything, just sat there watching us in the fairways and in the tee box. Other than that it was good.

Slow track with slower pace of play

The course layout is simply "okay", but the best thing to say is most of the holes have a variety from each other. The par 5's are horrible in design, and the par 3s are either very short or very long (necessitating a hybrid or wood to the green). The strength of the course are its par 4s.

The course conditions were quite odd - you got "no roll" whatsoever and the grass was absolutely "sticky" around the greens. Greens were cut to appropriate height, but were "slow as a snail" - enough so that downhill putts came up short.

The experience of playing here wasn't terrible, but I'd not drive out of my way for a return engagement.

NICE!!

The course had declined a few months ago. Remarkable recovery!!

The greens were smooth and well maintained. Enjoyed challenging greens. The Tee Boxes that were bald are now in great shape. Same with the fairways - as good as you can get at that price range and at that prize location.

A whole lot of disapointment.

I played at one of the more expensive timeslots at 8 am on a Sunday so I realize there will be an upcharge for that alone. 70 bucks and I wouldn't complain about the money however, I will always have a reason to complain about this place. I have played here probably 20 times over the last 4 years, every year it seems to be more crowded, and more expensive. For $93 you get to experience greens that have been divoted to oblivion and sand traps so wet we consider it a free drop. The grounds themself are very inconsistent with many bear spots all around the green and fairways, patchy grass, etc. Throw on top of all that and you are nuts to butts all day long with what seems like 8 minutes in between starts. Country Club prices for overcrowded, under-maintained courses. This coming from someone who doesn't pinch pennies, or leave reviews often but if it's not right somebody got to say it.

Perfect greens, pace of play OK, 255 yard par 3!

There was a long backup on the first tee. Course clearly overbooked with high school players preparing for the state tournament.

Once it four going, course in good shape. We played Heritage 9 first, what’s tight course, short but demanding accuracy, greens in great shape. Fairways were nice and the ball sat up.

We played legacy as the other nine. This side gets a lot more play and the fairways showed. The greens were really nice though. Longer nine but still demanding accuracy. Number 5 is a 255 yard par 3!!

Really happy with the round, shot a 76!

Needs works

This course need a number of tee boxes repaired. The starter placed a singe golfer in front of us due to a tournament being played the next day. Whhhhhhhat!!!!

I stopped playing this course a couple years ago due to pace of play, will not be back anytime soon.

Irrational staff

Booked to play 18 holes. Being from out of town I expected to play by myself or be paired with others. Was paired with a local golfer who was personable and pleasant, each having our own cart. At the end of the 9th hole, staff became insistent that I had to give up my cart and ride with the gentleman I had met since there was a high demand for golf carts. Sorry, the request to join a stranger, however pleasant, was not made to me before play started and the request to join the other golfer’s cart after 9 holes was unreasonable and rude. Riding policies should be clear and front and center then the customer then can decide to play or not. I requested a refund which they provided but the whole situation was totally unnecessary.

Don't Do It!

Despite Hot Deals and whatever financial incentive you think you're getting, please pause and rethink booking this course for a round! This experience is awful!+

The course is nice, but average. Greens were OK but tee boxes and other fairways areas were deplorable. The place was completely overbooked, and people were milling about with no masks and not following social distancing guidelines.

The staff is ridiculous. The starter guy really, really needs to retire, and the course rangers were worthless at best. We were behind a 5-some, yes, a 5-some on a Saturday they did not even realize there were 4 holes in front of them with no golfers. Hello, rangers...please do something. Our round took over 5 hours to play because of the the mis-management of playing.

I dont not recommend this course. They ususally want $79, but its worth $40 at best. Please avoid!.
