Like the course but over priced
Many / Most of the greens are beat up pretty badly and bunkers are not kept at all / unplayable.. Fairways are in good shape. Like layout and location. I like playing the course, but it's expensive in peak hours for the shape it's in. Played it many years ago and it was very good for a public course. Appears to have regressed, but it was packed on a Sunday.
Tough course
For a public course this is one of the most challenging course I have played. Lots of carry off the tee, water, etc. the course was in great shape however the hot summer has stressed some green as expected. The pace of play is horrible though. WAY too many people on the course with weekend hackers thinking they are pros lining every putt. I would play there again but be ready spend 5 hours. We skipped 3 holes.
Poor Layout
Played Legacy and heritage course. Both were pretty bad layouts.. most tee shots are blind on legacy, with punishing hills in the fairways. The greens were poorly built and they hold water. The greens were dying from not being able to shed water. I was disappointed..
Very nice course.
Overall, the course was quite nice! Some of the greens were a bit spotty from players failing to repair their ball marks
Wish the greens were in better shape.
Greens were beat up pretty bad. No one fixing their ball marks on the green.
Great layout not so good green condition
Course layout is great and no houses in the course so it makes me feel that I am playing in one of resort courses. But the green conditions are not that good. Ball is not rolling and bouncing. I understand that this is a public course but too many ball marks are not repaired in every green. Undulating fairways and greens are not easy for beginners but fun for experiences golfers. Overall recommended for the money.
As expected
Heritage is a fine course with a number of challenging holes - notably 4, 5, 9, 11, 12 and 18. Plenty of golf course if you play from the back tees. There are some other courses that are in a little better shape as it seems to get a lot of play, but it is not a major issue and if you get the twilight rate it’s good value for money. I play it 3-4 times a year and will continue to do so.
Same Same
Nothing crazy here. Hit it well and you score. Play like i did and ...well. just rats!
Nice Track
Nice course layout and having 3 - 9 hole courses keeps the pace of play manageable. Lots of hills and tricky shots but not anything a beginner should be afraid of...One crazy thing is the course stayed extremely wet the whole time. Tee off time was 7:20 and it was about 75 degrees without a cloud in the sky. Conditions were like it rained hard all morning. Overall it's a nice course and I'd recommend it.
Unbelievable
What a surprise! Easily one of the most difficult courses I've played, tight fairways massive and deep bunkers all over multi tiered greens. Lost 8 balls, had the best time challenged at every shot. Fantastic!
Why so wet?
Second time playing this course and both times it was extremely wet with no rain in site. I played early but it was soaking wet from beginning to end and the bird poop isn't cool especially with a wet course...love the course and layout and having 2 9 hole courses is the best!

Course was in good condition. Need water bottles for each cart. Food was good. Staff friendly. Tee box 5 legacy needs flattening.
COVID fail
i have played Heritage multiple times under multiple management. The course was "over built" to have one if not the highest slope ratings in the state. Many of the features are not natural and punish good golf. I am a legitimate 8.4 hdcp and just don''t enjoy playing this course. I shot an 83 and most of my strokes lost were due to putting across elephant back greens.
However, that is NOT why I am writing such a low review. I have been practicing social distancing. Myself and my playing partner both have "at risk" family members at home. We asked about riding in separate carts and were told the only option was for one of us to walk. They cared more about revenue than they did for public safety or the safety of their guests.
As i stated above, I already don't particularly like this course, but due to the complete lack of caring for public safety and public health, I will no longer go to Heritage. If you value your health and that of others and want a place that shares your values to allow you to properly social distance, DO NOT play Heritage.
