Carolina Colours Golf Club

I really liked the course. It reminds me of Shepherd's Hollow Golf Club in Michigan. It does not have the degree of elevation as Shepherd's Hollow, but similar undulation, and fast greens that look thick, green and slow. It was crowded, so I started on the back nine. The pace seemed slow but I finished 18 holes in 3 hours. The towels, hand sanitizer and range balls was a treat.

Overall I was satisfied with the conditions of the course, considering it had rained all day the day before. The fairways greens and tee boxes were in really good condition. The only negative was that the sand traps do not drain as they should which left hard pan or standing water in most of the traps.

Course was in good shape. Fairways are starting to get some grass on them and seem to have softened up from a couple of years ago. Greens were a little slow for bent grass with it still not being hot enough to have to keep them a little hairy. Overall great course with a wonderful layout. The more you play and get to know the course the better it is

I cannot belive what I paid for this venue.

Best value in new Bern area.

Non Bermuda greens in this climate.

Greens in very good shape for this time of year. Pace of play was excellent.

My experience was very nice. It started with the friendly staff member accepting my money. A cart was ready and the putting green was nearby. The pace of play was superior. Twice others let us play through. The weather was perfect.

A winter round so grass dormant, but last fall cutting left the rough deep enough to stop a ball from auto rolling into the waiter hazards. Did get a lot of tool compared to summer. Greens were good, quick rolling, fair to play. Sand for the most part was tended and raked. Fair separation of tee boxes, buddy and I played gold, other guys played white.

Course layout is great. Gives u a challenge from whichever tee you choose. Some of the greens were a little rough. Hot summer.

The pace of play was great. We were never held up by anyone nor were we pushed. The biggest flaw was the condition of the course. Multiple greens where over have of the green was either dead or didn't have grass. A tee box was not mowed and felt as long or longer than rough. I hope this improves because I am a fan of the layout of this course.

My father and I played 18 holes here yesterday, the course was recommended to us from a friend so we drove up from Jacksonville to check it out! Well worth the drive and money! The course layout is moderately challenging, with plenty of risk and reward shots! The greens are well tended... they bite well with a high approach shot, yet lower trajectory shots and putts can be fast. It was very interesting dynamic! The amenities were amazing too-- cooler provided for beer, draft and cans! I also liked that there were a seperate set of childrens tees. My daughter will appreciate that! going back soon!

I played this course on vacation. The reviews made it appealing and the cost was reasonable ($32 mid-week). The course was in good condition and the greens were nearly perfect; not too fast and a good roll. The course has wooded areas lining most fairways but they are marked with red stakes so you don't take a lost ball with stroke and distance penalty. That saved me three lost ball penalties.

The staff is quite nice and they were very attentive. I appreciate this in a semi-private club where non-members are often given less attention.

Walking may be a bit difficult as there are some holes with a long distance between green to next tee.

Greens were perfect,not pga fast but rolling smooth and true I live 35 miles away and find this course well worth the drive Pace of play was good, our foursome played under four and a half hours.

The course is in excellent condition and a joy to play.

I saw no evidence of the poor treatment referred to by other reviewers as I was welcomed at the Pro Shop as well as on the course when I paired up with a single member. Great new and young layout still trying to "green" up in the fairways, although they appear to be struggling a little more in the fairways to thicken up. The member mentioned that they have a new head groundskeeper that is focusing on that.
