Sevierville Golf Club - River Course

We played the River course twice last week. We were impressed with the overall condition. From tee to green, the course is well taken care....very few divots anywhere. Wide open fairways with challenging greens. The winding river throughout the course made it interesting. When we return next year we want to try the Highlands course.

Beautiful course with the 2nd tees (6700 yds) offering plenty of challenge even for a good ball striker. Plenty of well groomed bunkers, berms, undulating greens, and elevation changes. The tees were a little too long and unfortunately the greens on holes 1-5 had damage from a hydraulic fluid leak from a greens mower. The greens could have used a good rolling. But the course is a beauty and really is the "Best in the Smokies". Those helicopters are a real pain, so "keep you head down, you're playing golf!

Super friendly staff. Course in great shape. Fairways lush and greens smooth and true. Plays a little long from middle tees and from front tees (wife's played). Layout a little confussing. Great value when booked on golfnow

The course was wonderful, was in great shape, the staff was fantastic, my experience was better than experted.

The fairways were excellent and the course layout was very interesting. The greens had no grass on them. The condition of the greens took away from the golf experience.

Got off to a great start. Then on the 5th hole, we got behind a foursome playing best ball, 2 on 2. Nobody in front of them. I hope they were playing for some serious money. Because they definitely took their time. Not to mention occasionally taking beers with then to the green. Pace suddenly came to almost a hault. I know some people are on vacation, or take the game very serious. But come on, have some courtesy. I can't believe a course this nice didn't have a Marshall patrolling. The pace even got slower. We had a foursome catch up with us on a couple of tee boxes. I mean are you serious!?!?!? As much as the course charges for regular fees, it should definitely be more professional.

The course played well.. Hole locations were feasible yet challenging.. The course layout was all over the place. A few holes go this way then back around to go play these holes and back again to play some more..No kidding! I got a lay out " pep talk" from the check in guy when i pulled up.

They do meet you at your club drop off area and grab your clubs for you once you pull up. -which i thought was nice..

For the value - hot deal i lucked on- it was worth it.

The lay out of the course is one..
2nd, there are maybe 2 Water fountains or jugs along the course and 1 or 2 bathrooms along the course cart path so Come ready to fork out $$ to buy food / drinks or come prepared with your own water bottles.

The staff was nice till i find out that there is a $10 "ride along FEE"...what is that all about ? Not to mention that my fiancee never touched a club or played a hole in her life , but had to PAY EXTRA just to ride along and of course paid more $$ when she wanted something to drink/ eat.

That was a little ridiculous..but other than that.. a Decent course if you get it for under $60

Course was in excellent condition. Fairways and greens in superb shape.

The River Course at Sevierville Golf Club has plenty of water. Accuracy is essential. The course is extremely well maintained. Greens are a little slow but that seems to be the way they mow 'em here in the Smokies. Beautiful scenery. The food in the clubhouse is fantastic!

An exceedingly low rate because of recently arreated greens was the reason I booked this round. I was working on my tee to green woods and irons after that you can't effectively putt arrerated greens. This course will be near perfect in about a week to ten days depending on weather conditions. I will play it again soon. Bill

The greens had been aerated a few days before we arrived, and we were pleased with how good they were.
Some holes were difficult, but we felt that if we played the course several times that we could do well.

Course was nice, wish we would have been told that they Airated the greens before we booked the tee time. The greens had been done 3 days ago so you can imagine. So much sand on greens I feel like I could have been at the beach building a castle. Other than that great track and a great staff

Played in the early AM. It was listed as FAST play, but was anything but. 4 some in front of me waited for each person to play. No such thing as "ready golf". Finally skipped a hole to pass them. By the time I finished, they were 4 holes behind me.
Course was nice, but would have liked to have a little map at the Tees to show the layout. Otherwise, I did enjoy it, but would go to Gatlinburg again and not here.
Staff was super friendly. I had forgotten my wallet and they let me play anyway. Called with my credit card after returning to my condo.

Fairways and greens in excellent shape. Friendly staff. Excellent practice facility, driving range and putting green.

The river course gets chopped up by playing 11-13. They are totally different holes from the other 15 and you have to travel 1/4 mile to get to them. Just a little odd. The sand is really soft, the rough is some parts is really deep, my ball dropped 3" below the surface, but the greens will hold approach shots and roll about a 10. The overall condition is excellent.

The River Course was in good shape and I was able to play immediately even as a single player. There are some very challenging holes and love the experience

Mostly flat. Wide open in the driving areas.
Water on at least half of the course on one side or the other.
Greens were fast downhill and slow uphill ----- there was at least 12 ft of speed in opposite directions!
VERY FRIENDLY staff!!!!!
Would definitely play again and would play The Landings also!

had played it years ago as eagles landing! thier advertised rate of 59.00 has been to rich for my group!

Very quiet on the course today.Course in good shape,even with all the rain we have been having.I would reccomend this course to anyone.I would also reccomend looking for deals.

Almost every scenario imaginable from water, to wide open, to elevation changes - but none too extremely hard.
