Clear Creek Golf Course
About
Clear Creek Golf Course is a flat, wide-open links-style track loaded with water and bunkers. The only sort of elevation changes you'll experience come from the ravines that route through the course and the undulating greens.
The back nine is the more challenging, spiced up by some interesting par 3s and two outstanding par 5s. Clear Creek's 11th hole goes 555 yards and involves an approach over a ravine, and No. 13 is a 584-yard monster that double-doglegs to a skinny green framed by bunkers.

Course in great shape
Haven’t played here in about a year but course has stayed true to form. Greens were fast and have tough slopes which will challenge all golfers. Fairways were in good shape. Great value for the $$.
Course conditions
The course is in great shape...especially the greens!!!
Clever creek
The staff needs to fix the bunkers. The covid excuse is getting old, you can drive a cart , walk around club house , go to driving range and play a round but can’t play a bunker.
All good
Greens, fairways in great condition.
Need startWe and Marshall to keep course organized.
Misleading terms of play/terrible experience
I booked a tee time to play at 1:07 in which the tee time included a cart per the GolfNow reservation. When I arrived to the pro shop to check in, the person behind the counter told me that I would need to pay an additional cart fee as the cart fee listed with my reservation wasn’t actually included (even though it clearly stated that a cart was included with my reservation). Instead of addressing the mix up and letting me have a cart, he rudely told me that it wasn’t their fault, and that GolfNow was to blame. He said that other guests have experienced the same issue but it wasn’t a problem for them and they just paid the cart fee with no fuss because to them it was “not a big deal”. I asked to speak to a head pro or director of golf and he came and rudely said, “if you want a cart you have to pay for it”. I again showed him my reservation where it clearly stated that a cart was included with my rate...
Customer service was abysmal and both people showed a tremendous lack of concern for their paying guest. I play there a lot typically, but now they’ve lost a customer.
Nice course.........slow play
Group of 4 ahead of us (2) were playing from the blues when they should have been playing from the whites. Shanking drives and losing balls. Never waved us through. No Marshall.
terrible!
course was in bad shape, fairways had crabgrass all over pace was ok until we made the turn and a couple cut in front of us and i went in to ask and only a kid was there and didnt know what to do!only played 16 holes pace was slow and wouldnt let us play through not worth the money!
BEWARE-POOR MANAGEMENT
Positives- all areas of play were in good condition, except the bunkers. Cart girl started working on the back 9 & was friendly.
NEGATIVES- we had valid GN tee times at 730. We arrived early to find 11-15 guys in front of us that had NO booked T-time. The pro shop dude apparently allowed them to make their own start time & that screwed our day time-wise. We didn’t start until after 8 & we waited on every hole due to the log jam. Management Must Hire A Marshal/Starter, and get the pro shop dude to grow a pair & enforce rules when he’s made aware! Furthermore, there were several players waiting on carts at the clubhouse when we FINALLY made the turn. This was caused by a policy to charge full cart fees per person, even when some players would ride together & split the $12.75 fee. This is the ONLY course around that doesn’t include a cart when listing their play fees. It’s a shame that a nice course suffers due to mismanagement & not deploying Marshals & Starters.
Poor management still a problem here
After warming up on their nice driving range, I headed over to the first tee at 7:30am for my 7:44 tee time and found 5 (five) groups waiting on two other foursomes gathered on the tee box. Nobody was sure what was happening. I went back to the clubhouse and learned they had no starter that day. It was a Saturday. The manager was not onsite. The only employee was in the clubhouse handling the front desk. I asked for a refund and was told the manager would have to contact me. So far, no word but frankly I don’t care. I called a friend as I was leaving and he told me he had the same experience at Clear Creek GC two weeks before; big backup on #1 and no starter. He went and played the back nine first (no starter, why not?). Wish I had thought of that at the time. Previous golfer comments about the poor management at this course indicate a systemic problem. It’s a real shame. I’ve played here before, very good layout, I heard it is in good shape. There are plenty of courses in Houston. I won’t take a chance again on this one.
2nd Visit
Course is in good shape. Greens are really nice - even with the July heat.
The bunkers need some major work at some point. The COVID -19 no rake deal is an issue on every course.
More yardage markers or findable yardage markers throughout the course would help the speed of play. Especially on all of the par 3's.
