About
Situated on what used to be farmland and later used for shellrock mining, Osprey Point Golf Club is hardly recognizable from its former landscape. The Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County took the abandoned land in South County Regional Park that was completely overgrown and turned it into Florida's first Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. To achieve this designation, the department instituted several environmental protection practices, increased the acres of natural habitat, and converted to more environmentally friendly grass on the tees, greens, and fairways. The golf course offers 27 holes that are played in three different combinations. The Falcon/Raven Course is one of the combinations. It has a rolling landscape that is enhanced by native vegetation and a playable quality thanks to five sets of tees.

Just one wird: Excellent
Course is in super condition, from my point of view by far the best in the region, Pace of play was good, rangers are out and look after things. It is a great package.

Great track!
One of the better overall experiences I’ve had in Florida. Visiting from Chicago for work and saw this course had good reviews and they were right. Practice areas are top notch. Quality of the fairways and greens are 9/10. Surprised at how green the entire course was compared to others we’ve played and seen. The grass is tight, rough is basically nonexistent so it makes for a course you can get around fairly easily if you don’t hit it in hazards. Shot 79 (43-36)
What a great review! Although it seems you'll need to return so you can improve upon that front nine score a tad bit. We can't thank you enough for spending a day with us while visiting from Chicago. Hopefully you'll get to sneak away again soon.

this course is always fun to play. the conditions have never been bad. the pace of play could improve with the starter being more organized. nice scenery

Weekend Twilight = Long Round
I play Osprey all the time. It's super popular and for good reason. With the time change I wanted to take advantage and paid $30 for a 3PM tee off. Despite having only a twosome in front of us on one 9 and a threesome in front on the back 9, round too 4.5 hours and we almost didn't get it in before it became too dark.
Greens were a little dried out and were running really fast as result. Still love the course and highly recommend it. Great layout, always in good condition.
There's only one answer: OSPREY POINT! Although, we may be a bit biased....

Hello, I have read a lot of your reviews and like the input you give. Im traveling down to the jupiter,fl area at the end of april and would like to know what the best course is to play for good greens and play. Im a scratch golfer and just dont want to spend money on a bad experience. So far im leaning towards OSPREY or Jacaranda? Or what do you think?
Public course
One of the best in area. Fairways were green and plush. Greens ran fast but true.
And you avoided all the snow in New Jersey. Thanks for spending the day with us and for taking the time to leave a review. The paspalum grass we use is truly special and makes for great conditions all year long.

Played the Hawk/Falcon layout. The course is in excellent condition and very well maintained. The layout was a bit more challenging for me as I have been known to 'spray' my shots and the rough just swallows balls up. Good incentive for me to straighten out! The starters seemed a bit harried as the course was busy and I think they are doing a lot of juggling deciding which combo to send people out on. The pace was very good for as busy as it was. Beautiful setting. Will definitely be back to play this course again.

A superb public course.
An exceptionally well kept course in a beautiful wildlife sanctuary. The staff is great and well organized. My only complaint would be after spending a premium on a public course, there’s no 19th hole to enjoy a drink or decent food but don’t let that stop you from playing a round there!
Well we have some great news for you .... we are breaking ground on a new clubhouse this year and it will include a full service 19th hole!
Osprey
Started should loose the PA system. You can hear it clearly playing the last hole esp while putting. Lots of threes sent out when singles were waiting. This aside the course is well designed and in good condition.
Sounds like the PA system may have made you miss a putt, and for that we apologize. We are a very busy golf course and the PA system is needed to keep things flowing. We very much appreciate you coming out to play and we hope to see you again soon.

Good value, Great layout.
The pace of play was slow at times, but it was the weekend. The greens were in great condition. Unfortunately, I was only able to finish 15 holes, but will definitely be back again to try out their other holes. I would definitely recommend if you are within a 30 minute drive of Boca.
