Spot on

For a course out of the way it’s a smashing one. The course is in really lovely condition and for a nine holes it’s tricky.

Not for the unfit. Difficult course.

What a warm welcome when arriving. This is a golfers course and got some good pointers when I arrived with it being a new course to me. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS COURSE IF YOURE OF ILL HEALTH 🤣 Hiking boots are a must!

Pros - Amazing condition! Compliments to the green keepers. Great challenge for intermediate golfers. The views are spectacular!

Cons - difficult to navigate first time round. 2 tee boxes for one for the front anyone for the back 9. I walked up to the 2nd into the line of fire of someone coming the other way!

Take plenty of balls if you're a beginner. I usually loose 1 possibly 2 balls a round but I sadly lost more in 9 holes.

Hidden Gem

Fantastic golf course. If this was located on the Coast it would be a £40+ round of golf. Spectacular scenery, short and tricky holes that are incredibly enjoyable and fantastic drainage - Fairways are superb any time of the year when I've played.

Don't pass up on the opportunity to play this one of a kind course!

Allen Dale Wild Golf

Paid online prior to the visit but nobody there except two other golfers. Looks and feels like a farmer has decided to build a nine hole golf course where it was too sloping to do anything else.

Yes it’s cheap and it had been mowed and the two sets of tees was a good idea. However the greens are the same as the fairway except shorter. We’re pretty fit but be warned if you have heart issues and try and push a trolley up and down those hills! The sun was shining and the views were amazing-guess it all comes down to what you want from a game of golf. We paid £10 each for 18 holes but gave up after nine as we were knackered.

Hidden gem

Due to bad weather all my local courses were closed. Found this hidden gem online. Sent a message thinking it may be closed but was open. Arrived to a really well maintained course in immaculate condition. Challenging but really enjoyable to play. Met Neil along with his dog and had a good chat. It’s a really nice change to meet staff who take an interest in customers. I honestly thought we had underpaid but he confirmed it was the price we paid. I was shocked. I’ve paid a lot more for courses in that bad of a condition they shouldn’t be open. Thanks again Neil! we will definitely be back.
