Ardencote Golf

Good course for a quick round without fuss .

Couple of really nice holes and well looked after considering the price point .

It's a young course which looks wide open and a bit up and down. We were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the fairways and greens having just come out of lockdown. The greens looked fluffy and some carried a bit of moss but were surprisingly pacey and mostly ran true. More than the average amount of par 3s but we'll thought out and quite tricky. Short but quirky is how I'd describe the course but worth a visit for a change. Very friendly welcome but no off course facilities to judge as still closed due to Covid.

Wet course but that is to be expected this time of year. Can not wait to play here again in the summer.

Unfortunately I was playing the course in terrible conditions I cannot wait to try again in the summer.

I was called by the course to be told that they were closing off 9 holes - they offered options on the voice message left. I then tried to contact the course for 4 days without any reply and even sent an email.

I have been refunded and they are refusing to do this.

Had a good day play was a little bit slow due to a four ball thay wouldn't ĺet anyone play through but we like the lay out will play again

Drove over an hour to get to this course only to be told it was a only a carry bag course turned right around and left. Wont be going back thats for sure.

Shame really as it looked a lovely course.

I played this course for the first time under wet conditions.

I found the greens to be in a very good condition but the surrounds were a bit cut-up.

The fairways appeared to drain well and were not soft as I expected.

Some of the tee boxes were quite soft and may need attention if this course is used during winter.

I found the layout to be a bit confusing on the back 9 with holes not in a logical order.

Played this course on a Sunday afternoon. The staff in the office were excellent and allowed us to tee off a little sooner than booked as the course was reasonably quiet.

We soon caught up to the pair in front who were being held up by other golfers in front but the delays weren't too bad. The course itself is fairly short with a greater than usual number of par 3's and fairly short par 4's but enough to test an experienced golfer. The greens are small but true and overall the course was in good condition, obviously well taken care of.

Course is exceptional value easy flowing how ever it does retain the water can be quite boggy in parts but would still recommend it and do think it’s exceptional value for money

The course is cheap at £15 a round and it’s incredibly tight and not amazing quality. I played Sunday morning and it felt like there were a lot of groups waiting at every hole, maybe spread the groupings out a bit more.

The course was in reasonable condition considering the week before the course was closed because it was waterlogged, there are some holes that run parallel to each other. The fourth tee is behind the third green creating a hold up because if you over hit your approach shot to the third it puts players on fourth tee in danger, there are 3 par 3's and a short par 4 at the turn which also creates a bit of a hold up. There is a lack of clubhouse facilities for golfers, no changing rooms and toilets are in the Spa area, overall the course is a good test of golf and will definitely play it again.
