Beedles Lake Golf Centre

2nd visit this year managed a nett 69, which could have been better. Course in great condition especially the greens which ran true and quickly. Only downside was we were the first tee time following a large society and had to wait on every tee resulting in a 5 hour round which is terrible for a 3 ball. Obviously this isn’t the club’s fault but did cloud our experience a little

Friendly staff, basic, short driving range with what I believe are distance controlled balls, understandable and fine to warm up before a round.

Changing rooms and bathrooms pretty new and very tidy.

Small pro shop, seemed to sell essentials. Nice little bar.

Course was in good condition, greens clearly well watered while fairways were a little dry in places.

Some bunkers were a little rough but others in better condition.

Holes were pretty flat, some mild dog legs. Greens fairly consistent with subtle breaks.

Pace of play was a little slow.

Not many bins around so some rubbish floating about sadly.

Tee boxes were in good condition.

Overall, for £30 would happily play again.

Having traveled from Norwich we wanted a good day of golf and we got it. Friendly greeting in the club house and pro shop. Helpful locals. The course has two distinct sides and plays very well. We took a buggy and appreciated it. The tee boxes in good condition and sited in challenging positions. The fairways are cut well with distinction between cuts and the greens are in good order and maintained. The locals sort their divets which keep the greens in good condition.. Bunkers are well sanded and positioned well to provide challenge. We are very high handicappers but never felt intimidated just challenged. My only grumble was that the driving range is a little tired but priced to reflect at £4.25 for 50 balls. A great course and value was excellent, we paid £30 per person for 18 holes plus a further £30 for the buggy. In our opinion very good value.

A lovely venue, been wanting to play it for a while having driven past it so many times.

The layout is great, nice and challenging only criticism is the slow play in front.

Would certainly player there again.

Course was a little bit up and down but in excellent condition. Bit unlucky having to follow a society with many non golfers. Four and a half hours for a 2 ball. 😟. Luckily weather was good.

Great facilities which included a driving range, practice area and putting green. Nice club house. Will definitely come again.

For the first time playing this course I was really impressed, not only how helpful staff and other players were but the course quality was amazing especially for the value the greens was in great condition along the tee boxes and the fairways 100% would recommend this venue to friends and family.

A course maintained very well and a good challenge

Always a great round at Beedles, the course is always in great condition and the layout is fantastic. Easy enough for new golfers but still has a lot of challenging but very rewarding holes!

Couldn’t play a more important welcoming course lovely staff great food professional excellent.

Beedles lakes is a top course for intermediate to advanced golfers, great challenge with plenty of hazards, lost 2 balls, lol…The greens need a little TLC, because of some scabbing. But all in all, the course was in great condition after a lot of rain and bad weather. The only other problem is the decision to fill in lots of the bunkers and are GUR , well worth a visit though…

It is a bit of a drive to the course, but we always find it worthwhile. Challenging course but very flat and interesting.

Great condition the professional was extremely polite and helpful. Warned us it might be a little slow due to a match being played so had a break in the clubhouse half way great food and drink would recommend it.
