Great Condition
For the time of year and the weather conditions leading up to the round the condition of the course was excellent
Brilliant course and in Fantastic condition
Have played the National a few times now and whether it is summer or winter, the condition of the course has always been excellent. Pace of play was really quick and joined up with a couple of members on the day who were welcoming and friendly. Fortunately the rough was mainly cut back, so made finding those errant balls a little bit easier! Looking forward to playing again.
Fun and challenging course
Really rewarding golf course when you hit a good shot off the tee. Rough was cut back slightly which made the off target shots a touch less painful too! Had some great fun attempting to escape some bunkers, before taking on the challenging greens. A brilliant day out and can’t wait to play it again.
Amazing course in great condition.
We had a really good game. The course was in great condition and the staff were very friendly.

Friendly staff and well informative, course in excellent condition, challenging fairway bunkers, fast greens.
What more could you want from a course, I’m not the best golfer and I play off of a high handicap, however that didn’t stop me having an amazing time on this course. Throughout the day green keepers were working on the course (not in the way) I’d say 90% of the divots within 150 yards of the hole were repaired with sand. The hazards were well placed to make it necessary to hit a good opening shot and it was unforgiving when you didn’t and made it a challenge to get out. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who wants a challenge
Excellent
This was my first time visiting the belfry, sadly the beautiful club house was shut due to Covid! But the staff where extremely friendly and always very easy to approach! I would never much like to come back and once Covid is over and we can enjoy a beer and food after golf

Lovely day. Rough is highly unforgiving. Course played really well though.
A great course
This was my first time in playing the National course and was very impressed.
The course is quite long and requires accuracy and length of the tee.
Plenty of nightmare bunkers which I managed to avoid mainly.
Cleverly placed water features.
Defo will be returning
Good course.
First time on national course. Good layout. Well maintained. £50 perhaps a little steep. Rough is punishing with long grass so stay in the middle.
Good just very muddy which is to be expected
Played it 10th Jan after a few days rain and it was VERY muddy underfoot. Sadly this kind of ruined the game. Ace course just avoid it after rain. Also temp 18th hole as they’re doing large works.
For £40, I would definitely play again
Great course, with a moderate challenge. If you play straight off the tee, you'll score low. Only negative is there were no marshals to start us off and give out scorecards, which we were promised in the golf centre.
Bargain for such a well known course
Enjoyable day again experiencing a well kept course.
Spectacular
What a great course!! as close to a links course in the middle of the country. Unbelievable!! A word of warning avoid the bunkers they’re deep!!!
Course was in excellent condition and the greens were superb even though they had been spiked a little bumpy in places but overall very good
