Belfry Golf Club - The Derby Course

Thought we would play a different course . Everything was good we got taken to first tee of the Derby course . Good information by the driver that took us . Personally I think the fairways need a bit of work . It was quite damp so heavy underfoot. The greens were perfect and difficult to read . All in all a very enjoyable day . Very expensive in the 19th avoid if you can . The course well worth the £20 green fees .

Really enjoyed the course on Friday it is so well maintained. Staff brilliant and you get driven out to the first tee and back to the clubhouse. Will definitely play again.

The state of the fairways if you can call them that were shocking! The photos in the app aren't even related to this course. Expected the course to be in excellent condition due to the location.

It's an embarresment to the Belfry name.

Been a while since playing the course' greens were nice but the rest of the course was in a very poor state.

Paid £26 and think that was over priced on this occasion .Can't fault the staff and the on course taxi driver.

What a place it was so good. Had everything you needed. The course was so good. Got slowed down by some old players that wouldn't let my 4 ball through. Lay out of the course was good. Greens was nice and fast. Faster than I play on that ment it more like 3 putts put over all great place. Will be going back

The only thing that spoils the experience is the incessant idea that you must bunch people together to get the maximum amount of people out at one time thus making it a corporate money well rather than making it an enjoyable day

( you never know what handicaps of the other players your grouped with ) thus evoking slow play

and a general frustration when playing with 20+ handicapper’s

Quite obvious, you play the derby course and you are paying for the belfry name and not much else. The course was flat, short and featureless. You can play far better courses for half the price. The greens were in good condition and the amenities are good quality, but overall below expectations.

Got the round for only £20 which was a bargain as the course was in great condition, especially the greens. £50 for a buggy was expensive as were the drinks at the bar but as expected for the Belfry and worth it for the surroundings.

A very enjoyable day from the moment we booked in, shuttle bus drivers were very friendly and helpful with many tips on the courses. The Derby course played very well even with this very dry conditions, greens were very well maintained and very fast at times, bringing great challenges. Would recommend going back there and we will at some point

First time at the belfry and I will definitely be coming back soon, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the course was in v.good condition, had to hire golf club which was easy and the clubs were in excellent condition and newish models
