Summer evening golf

Having not played Blackburn for a couple of years, it was pleasant surprise to pop along for a quick round on a June evening. Teeing off at 6:30, round in 130 minutes- only saw one other group and they let me through quickly. Course is the best I’ve seen it- marvellous firm but still quite green. Greens ran nicely. A bargain for the twilight rate. Recommended.

Lovely in the summer

I have played this course once before and loved it. Really interesting holes, enticing par 3's and solid greens....played it on Saturday and I was shocked. The fee was £26 Inc booking fee... For a course in the condition it is in, that was way to much money. The course should have been closed. The fairways, tee boxes and paths are getting destroyed. I will play this again when the weather improves because its a fun track. I understand that clubs need to re coup some losses from being shut during covid but the members here can not be happy that they are allowing the course to get destroyed when it should be closed. Great in the summer, avoid in the winter.
