Too many same style holes
Firstly looks like they don’t allow single players on was teamed up with a guy and his son who were very pleasant but prefer to go round by myself as I paid for. Course is to same all par 4 and all straight either up or down hill the greens were in reasonable condition but the tee were like teeing off from the rough couldn’t really hit a iron of the deck on them. Staff very friendly but don’t think I’d go again as a lot of trekking for very little variety.
Lovely course but very hilly!
Great course when i played it in early summer, although probably the hilliest course I have ever played! Some great views, fantastic value for the very low green fees - would highly recommend as long as you are physically fit as it is very demanding
Enjoyable course
Really nice course with amazing views over the Ribble Valley. Quite hilly in places so it’s a bit of a workout on foot – worth grabbing a buggy if you can. The layout keeps things interesting with some tricky holes, and the greens are usually decent. Staff are friendly and the clubhouse is a good place to relax after. Overall, good value and well worth a round.
Sunday 4 ball
Got paired with 2 other golfers when we arrived which was a bit annoying but TBF the lads were very nice and easy to get on with. The course was in really good condition, the greens were a bit slow but very good. Played with my son who shot a brilliant 69 with back to back eagles on 12 & 13. Overall a great day which was only spoiled by the downpour for the last 4 holes
Great condition but challenging
As a high handicapper golfer (31) I found it challenging in places. The slopes make it difficult and maybe my skill level was too low for it. Enjoyed the walk and the scenic views. Would come back when I am a little more improved. Course was in fantastic condition.
Course is forgiving
Very hilly course but easy with a buggy and it’s in excellent condition and also very forgiving wide open and interesting
Buggy buggy buggy
First time playing here. The course was dead but don't know why as a good quality, really enjoyable course. Friendly staff who helped when the buggy got a puncture. Speaking of a buggy...well worth the cost unless you want to develop buns of steel with all the walking. Couldn't rate off field facilities as we didnt use any
Beautiful views. Beautiful Course. Incredibly tough for a beginner.
Came here as a beginner. Don't regret it for the day out and the incredible views but the course is a very tough challenge for a rookie. Beware the back 9, especially holes 11 to 13 which are long and across a steep gradient. The 13th is a blind tee shot as well.
Apart from that. A few tricky par 3s, especially the 18th which is deceptive due to the gradient going up onto the green and the surrounding trees obscuring the view of the flag.
Won't be coming back until I've upped my gradient game but looking forward to it when I have.
Great course
Lovely course , hard walk but well worth it for the views
Excellent course, value for money 💰
Great course to play but also a challenging one. Barbara on reception was absolutely fantastic very welcoming and informative about starting point and way round the course. Would definitely play again. It is hilly so unless your hiring a buggy be prepared for a good workout. But overall had a great day playing this course. Teed of at 11am done for 2.15pm
Challenging
A great value for money Golf course.
Great condition.
Survival of the fittest.
Buggies or trolley is a must.
Nice course but very hilly
Decent course but extremely hilly, would definitely recommend getting a buggy if you're planning on playing. A few really nice holes driving down the hills and some tough ones coming back up. A fair few inconsiderate players playing when we played, balls landing less than 10 yards from us with no shout and players teeing off when we were in the fairway hitting our second shots clearly in range.
Brilliant day
The course was in excellent condition, good weather helped.
Only £14 to play which is fantastic value so hired a buggy & had a very enjoyable round of golf .
Course in great condition
We had a great round at mytton fold with the course quiet and in great condition. It's not for the faint hearted as its a tough course with plenty of places to lose balls and a bit hilly, but its worth the hill for the outstanding views. Was great value 4 money on a hotdeal.
Good challenge needing every shot over 18 holes
Great course, you need to be fit as it’s very hilly, but challenging holes, not stupidly difficult but keeps you honest and every hole definitely challenges your choice of shot and club. Be it length to account for a stream that crosses fairways or raised or small greens you need to be pin point to hit.
70% of the holes go up and down on the side of a steep hill so you need to be fit and there are pros and cons to playing up to holes or down to holes which makes each shot interesting.
Ridiculously stunning location and views and an idyllic course to have the pleasure of playing.
Excellent and challenging course
As this was the first time playing following surgery- it was perhaps not the best choice due to the hills! However, we managed to complete the course, walking and enjoyed the challenge. The course was in good condition and the staff were excellent and very friendly.
