Wilpshire golf club
First visit to this course and wasn't disappointed.
Greens superb and some fantastic scenery around the course.Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff.
Look forward to playing it again in near future.
Steve.
Great course
Lovely course fantastic views lovely lady in the pro shop very friendly
Fantastic Little Trek
Played for the first time.
In superb condition and both Tee Boxes and Greens were immaculate - massive shout out to the greens staff there!
Not the longest or most challenging course in the area but some fantastic par 3s and a great all round test.
Pressure on for anyone with a nasty hook on the final tee box or a thrill for those who start their ball out left over the clubhouse!
Little gem in Lancashire
The course itself is in unbelievable condition, everything is immaculate.
The greens itself are some of the best i’ve played including championship courses.
Paid £31 each for a Hot Deal, not getting any better value!
Practice your putting
Great course. Great layout. Greens were amazing. But make sure you practice your putting. The greens were so well maintained, well looked after but fast is an understatement. I was 4 putting some holes because the dry hot and windy weather had dried them out so much. It was like playing on stone and the views were outstanding. Well worth the money.
Fantastic
First time playing here.
First off Vivienne in the pro shop was a credit to the club.
The course was in fantastic condition.
Some great holes and spectacular views.
Greens were firm and tricky.
A thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. I wouldn't however pay the full green fee price as feel that's quite steep for the golf on offer. A great afternoon golfing on a great course. I will be back.
Information
I have played here before it is a very nice course, but unfortunately nobody told me every hole had a temporary green and it’s not cheap to play there. And I even phoned the day before and they never said a thing to me.
Bad showers. On a dry day this course would score higher, pro shop better than the club house. Good if your in the area, nothing that set's it apart though
Poor Staff
We had previously booked a 3 ball for this. There was a spare slot for the 4 ball (30 mins before) for £26. Upon visiting the pro shop we were hoping to acquire the final for the same rate. The staff cancelled the final position on Golf Now and then proceeded to charge us £45 for the privilege of playing on the same slot as us. This we thought was really terrible customer service. Can something be done?
Still a gem in the hills
Once again a faultless experience starting with the wonderful Vivienne in the shop
The course is in great shape , a great variety of left to right and right to left , blind shots and panoramic views of Lancashire , take a butty and park yourself down on the 8th tee and enjoy the scenery and peace and quiet.. go on treat yourself to a gem
Top class conditions
Whenever play this course its always in top class condition. Greens are immaculate and such a tough test for the average golfer.
Rough pretty thick which adds another test.
Brilliant course and hidden gem.
Top course
Played here a couple of times now, the course is always in fantastic condition, greens in great condition too ball always run true.
If your in the area go see for yourself
Outstanding course
Course very enjoyable and in great condition
Excellent variety of holes and all the greens were fantastic
The course was very busy and we spent a lot of time standing around and waiting but this should not detract from what was a very good experience
A Gem in the hills
Be prepared for a pleasant surprise, I would like to thank the lady in the shop for her insight in to the layout and tips
I played in good sunny dry weather which made it easier , I can imagine in wet or very windy conditions it would play a lot tougher
Layout of the course is great , varying left and right holes and a fair few blind ones
The views over the countryside from the 8th tee are great , take a butty and a brew and enjoy for ten minutes if there’s a gap behind you
The only downside if you can call it one was the lack of paths from some
Of the tees to the short cut fairway , you have to push your trolley through thick grass , again if it was wet not very enjoyable
But apart from that I will go back 100%
Mid April
Played here the other weekend, your in for a treat.
The putting green was in fantastic condition (little tip the course greens are as good)
Overall course condition all considering the rain that week were very good, little wet spot here and there can't argue at all. The greens them selves were still a little soft but........ My god they were quick, little gentle breaks get plenty of practice on the putting green.
Can only imagine as the weather gets better so does the course so go and enjoy around
