Packed, disorganised and poir
The course was wet, there has been a lot of rain, that part is forgivable but there was a ten minute wait on the tee after our booked time whilst three groups of four all waited to see each other tee off! No marshalling or organisation and wouldn’t budge when we asked politely for them to get a move on. Then took 3 hours to complete 9 holes. Walked off after 9. Won’t be going back. It’s a shame as I played it a few years bavk and it was good. Condition and management has fallen off a cliff.
Good condition despite weather
Able to use buggie despite recent wet weather. Course in good condition. Varied holes on undulating course.
Far to busy creating slow play
Far to busy a large society created slow play , to many on the course at one time . However the course was in good condition………. would play again if quieter
decent course
a cracking well kept course but could do with some better features creating like more trees & a couple of water features would enhance the scenery & possibly make the course less bland
Bland and Uninspiring
Course condition was fine, it's a shame it is such a boring featureless course.
It is only worth playing if there is a HOT deal
Good course thats definitely a challenge in tough conditions
Played the course in high winds and intermittent rain. A good mix of challenging par 5s and par 3s into the wind makes you think about every shot.. Greens were in great condition as was the course.
An absolute bargain for £17.99
decent course
a really good long course for seasoned players not for hackers the greens are superb the best in the whole Blackpool area
excellent course
great course but if you don't like winds this is not for you there are always strong winds & breezes what ever the weather is doing & it makes it a good challenge playing wind against
Great course
Some really interesting and challenging holes - definitely worth playing.
Great course
Great course a little tough in places but thoroughly enjoyable
Average at best
Course mainly just up and down fairways with the odd interesting hole thrown in. Greens were nice. Mens toilets at side of pro shop are disgusting and should be closed. Don’t be fooled by the Peter Alliss video of the course to entice you onto it. Overall I found the course quite boring and not value for money.
Very nice couple of temp greens but to be expected at this time of year overall very nice I’ll be back
Temps
Course was still on nearly half temporary greens, 8 by my count which isn’t ideal.
Steady course
This is a good course and pleasant to play.
Considering the amount of recent rain and many courses being closed this course was in very good condition.
Great day
Very good conditions
Friendly helpful staff, course is spacious and in good condition
Only 2 holes had winter greens
Really poor
Really poor, played here many times, and always enjoyed it, gone downhill rapidly, i hope they can get it back before too long
Waited a long time to play this course and was so disappointed.
Having checked in with quite literally the rudest person I have ever come across in a pro shop I knew I was in for a bad day. The website is not updated so there is no current course information. I was told that it was carry only despite dozens of people with carts and the four ball behind us all pushing carts. I have a bad shoulder and struggle carrying but when I mentioned this I was just met with a bad tempered grunt by the young lady starter. The course only had 11 holes open and when I said I had paid full price, she just said that it was down to GolfNow and it was basically tough. She then looked like she was trying to resolve it on her phone for me but had in actual fact just gone back to playing on her telephone. After standing there for a good 4 - 5 minutes, I asked if I was done and she just grunted at me again. Not sure what she thought I was standing there for? Honestly it really isn’t the money, I was happy to pay full price but this was genuinely the most unwelcoming person I have ever encountered in my golf career.
I had always wanted to play here. My brother was a member in the 90’s and even had his wedding there. It used to be a proper, old fashioned, quality course but sadly it seems to be in severe decline. The club house is tired and the course didn’t seem in great shape. Perhaps I am being a little unfair and it might be great in summer but in winter £30 for 11 holes, all with temporary greens, very little signage showing which holes are open and the grumpiest staff I’ve ever met on a golf course don’t add up to a particularly good deal, especially on a course I was so excited to play.
Good course
Played the course after a period of heavy rain, so it inevitable there were some wet parts- this was mainly in the rough .
The greens were in good condition and fairways were good. The tee boxes needed some attention.
I would suggest the course needs to provide better guidance on the layout if the course , I didn't zee a course plan anywhere.
Overall it was good value

Just reading recent reviews, and saw that you were disappointed with the course?
The time you played was very challenging (weather wise) and your comments seem unfair.
I would like to invite you back to see the course as it is now.
