Blackpool Park Golf Club - Stanley Park Course

Played this a few times 3/4 years ago, the greens have improved a lot and general condition was very good.

Course not in great condition after recent wet weather ,but a good layout just needed a little TLC

I really enjoyed Stanley Park, its a nice municipal. Nicely laid out with some interesting holes, especially on the front 9, once you cross the road.

There are a couple of short par 4's to have a go at & all the par 3's are very nice.

Greens are in good condition & it looks like they are working hard to make the course even better.

Top that off with some really friendly locals, all in all a really pleasant experience.

Greens slow could do with a cut also light rough to long resulting in lost balls and slowing play down

Due to lockdown and a few injuries this was my first round of the year. Stanley Park is the only municipal course in the area and I have played it many times over the years. I was a bit surprised to learn when I arrived that only the 11 holes on the clubhouse side were open. This could maybe have been mentioned on Golf Now. We just spoke to the guy in the booking office, as we had paid an online fee.. He just said to give him a nod when we came off the 18th and we could play another 7 holes. So a full 18 could be played. The course was in decent nick considering the rain that has come down recently

Nice clean course, considering the amount of rain it looked and performed well. Greens in good condition and grounds men working hard to keep on top of the fairways

Great 18 holes, good challenge as always and in great condition too considering very busy at present time

Good course layout. A bit wet in places and the greens could do with more work. Being a municipal, you get a lot of first time golfers who have no clue about course etiquette or rules of play. Other than that, good value for money and worth playing in decent weather.

The greens were in excellent condition really impressed as was the whole course

Course was to be expected..very boggy on front 9, most greens have suffered with heavy traffic and wet weather.

Could have done with more g.u.r. markings or even preferred lies to help course and players.

150 yard distance markers need painting, yellow.

Overall its decent value for the money

The third to the 9th are longer and tougher than first nine. What makes this more difficult is they are not as well maintained. These holes are across the road from the rest of course and clubhouse. This could be remedied by green keepers cutting fairway and semi rough. The play on these holes were notably slower. . Maintaining these would improve play. The fairways for the rest of course are in good condition. Greens were ok but on the slow side.

This course is one of the finest I’ve ever played . Wonderfully designed to make it a real test of your golfing skills yet forgiving for the higher handicappers . Great day , thankyou !

Good course at a reasonable price. Will be back again soon.

Overall the course was in good condition.

The bunkers need more sand.

For a municipal course it was excellent.
