Blackpool Park Golf Club - Stanley Park Course

Overall the course was in good condition.

The bunkers need more sand.

For a municipal course it was excellent.

Nice sunny day in Blackpool friendly staff. Course ok greens a little slow but all in all enjoyable.

The course is in very good condition staff are very welcoming and friendly as this was our first time playing on the course the green keeper was very helpful showing and telling about the course how to get round after finishing our round we went into the club house we were welcomed by people asking us were we had come from and if we enjoyed our round as we were from Asian background we wernt judged by our skin colour we felt at ease we will be definitely going back there

Great value. Not too busy and nice layout. Course is municipal and as such is not in perfect condition as you would expect. Good enough for my standard though. Overall great value.

Enjoyed the course, there where a few areas around the course with ground water , but not on the greens, we where warned about a sink hole when we arrived at the reception, so we where told well in advance , I hope Blackpool council don't sell half the course, which there hoping to do to make a quick buck , my local course and would recommend it .

The only problem I had having not played the course before was no map on the scorecard and no sign to get from green 2 to 3rd tee which was over the road. Other than that was a good game

Good course for a knock around with friends, I like this course for its layout and prices, it's also fairly easy if your out of practice. I dislike this course for its brown/dead grass patches on the fairway and a couple of the greens, I don't think it would take much to make this course a great one.

I regularly use Golf Now to book courses in the area and find it a very good way of experiencing the beautiful golf courses around Lancashire.

I booked Stanley Park for 21/2/20 but unfortunately the extreme weather has closed the course.

This has happened before when I booked at North Shore on new years day. At North Shore the staff couldnt have been more helpful and re-arranged an alternative tee off when the conditions had improved.

My experience of Stanley Park? "Go contact Golf Now and sort it out yourself."

Suffice to say Golf Now will not refund for closed courses on the day of play when its a "hot deal", even though £12 is the standard winter green fee at this course.

I am disappointed that neither Golf Now or Stanley Park will take the time, courtesy and effort to re-arrange or refund the green fee, even though they are more than happy to take the money on a day when they have closed their course.

I would advise readers not to use Golf Now to book Stanley Park and I would advise Stanley Park to have a better attitude towards paying customers as my experience was poor and will be shared.

I use Golf Now for convenience not cost as they dont get special rates, in fact its typically more expensive once booking fee is added.

So in summary please dont be greedy, if a course is unplayable then refund the customer, its the right thing to do.

The course is very nicely laid out and has some lovely holes. The fairways are a bit patchy in places and the greens were a bit variable (mostly a bit wooly) but generally a very enjoyable round.

A lovely course with challenging conditions. The pro couldn't have been more helpful.

Played Stanley park a couple of times now. Most certainly the most enjoyable course to play in Blackpool and the surrounding area. Really well maintained course.
