Just a nice water hazard to get over Photo submitted by Uz276GW53QTNlHsllAIs on 04/15/2021
Great test
Really enjoyed the round. Course in good condition after lockdown. Greens all good and tricky to read. Didn’t enjoy playing off mats on lots of tees but you can see the work being done on the boxes.. overall a great days golf and will thoroughly recommend.
Over priced and Not cared for
Having returned after a couple of years away I was looking forward to my return as had always enjoyed my visits. However teeing off on the first with a tee box that was like a mud patch and would have been better in the rough made me think what has happened. Hoping it was just the first it continued throughout the round. Tee boxes are the worst I have played on and the greens where very poor. Little care seems to have been taken and it was like the course hadn’t been touched since the winter. £30 for a twilight with the course in this condition was terrible value for money. What else riled me is that everything was locked up and couldn’t even enjoy a drink after our round as everyone had gone home. Very sad to see it like this and will not be returning! Such a shame
Could have been better
The course overall was ok. The fairways look and felt like they need a good bit of growth. And the greens, in places, felt like they were missings the attentention they need, although mostly played well.
However, with all this said the course does present a good challenge.
Interesting course
I liked this course, very interesting and quite challenging layout especially the back nine, the pace of play was very slow! (too many four balls) we were waiting on every tee, it took us (a 2 ball) four and a half hours for 18 holes, but it was a beautiful day and in a glorious setting with stunning vistas it didn't matter. The only down side was that we were playing off temporary tees on many holes, but general course condition was very good. Would like to play again when less busy.
Shame the tee boxes weren’t in good order, but generally condition of fairways and greens were good.
For a public course not bad at all
A Nice Mixture of par 3,4,5 Holes
Well a nice place at first glance ,a nice course (, Was 1 yard away from hole in one on 2nd ) ,Meet 2 groups of 4 on first nine who let me play through ( very Polite ) but was a busy back nine .
Overall had a nice visit and will return and play again sometime
A post-covid success stroy
The clubhouse is not yet open but I'm sure it will be soon. The course itself is in great condition for the time of year and the greens are running at summer pace. Playing off mats at a few holes. But just get out there and support this well-run club!
Great value for money course
A clean, tidy and friendly course.
Great value for money and good fun to play.
Parkland golf course
This is an obvious parkland course with busy non golf foot traffic.
Having played after a week of rain it was very muddy which clouded my view of the course.
I will return in the spring to give this course the opportunity to impress me.
Great value for money
Cracking wee course with a few feature holes which really offer something special. Well worth the money it was just a shame we lost the light, so were unable to finish all 18 holes
Bletchingley GC - Oct 2020
The course held up quite well given the recent deluge of rain in the UK - obviously some parts were still pretty soggy but overall there was still some decent run on the fairways.
Greens were a little unpredictable and rough in parts.
Speed of play was horrendous - playing in a 2-ball shouldn't take nearly 5 hours to get around a course.
At one point there were 3 x 2-balls on one hole. Slower groups were refusing to let quicker groups play through .
Interesting course
Excellent greens with some interesting holes and not expensive
