will return for the golf but stay away from clubhouse
We drove an hour to this course when we arrived was told it’s been closed due to the rain I asked if they could get us on the moorland course luckily we were an early tee off so they let us go off first which we were very thankful for course only had 16 holes open no hitting off fairway this didn’t bother us. After we finished went for a cheeky pint £25 for 2 pints & 2 very very poor sausage & bacon cobs £7 a pint of Guinness will return for the golf but stay away from clubhouse
Always a pleasure to play
Lovely golf course I’ve played it many times only downside was the greens hadn’t fully recovered from maintenance.
Lovely afternoon
Played with late booking as weather so good. Course in fine condition, and greens running well for March. Good pace of play all way round. A few mats in use. Other than couple of fiddly holes in middle, layout is strong. Very hilly throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and the drink afterwards.
Can imagine it’s lovely in the summer
we arrived and were sadly told we could only play up to hole 14 due to it being water logged, would of expected some form of voucher to come back and play it later in the year. You can tell the place is very well looked after, only a few temp greens with some better than others.
This is just based on this visit alone
Priory Cse
Course was in great condition given the time of year and the weather was great. Very disappointing though to have 6 holes out of commission on the day due to water logging, which simply was not evident and spoilt an otherwise great day out.
Excellent Course
Excellent course
Played a 2 ball early morning and was hardly anyone around, so flew round
Good tees and greens.
Fairways in good condition (had a lot of rain the previous day) and bunkers had very soft fluffy sand.
Quite a wide open course for those slightly off line drives.
£40 for the round eaxh was quite pricey and the bar/restaurant wasn't open when we finished. The half way house wasn't open either.
Overall very good
Expensive
The staff were great . The shop was great ! The buggies were too expensive and the best vapourer was clogged up with corporate dos . We were behind a group of forty , who stood around drinking . We shouldn’t have been booked after them . Third hole we had waiting over half an hour. We threw in the towel . They did say we could go in the other course. V frustrating . However , lovely grounds, well looked after and lovely staff .
Breadsall Priory
A fabulous course in Derbyshire… well worth a visit, always in 1st class order … well spaced tee times and a friendly welcome. Will definitely be back for another visit soon …
Book it and enjoy
Nice course let down by staff
Walked off after 14 holes when 3 tee times were waiting to play the 15th, then waited 20 mins to even be served at a table for a drink! Very negative feel from the staff in pro shop and bar Not what you expect after paying decent money for the round
Great Confution
Course I’m brilliant condition, particularly most of the greens
Fantastic Course let down by the Greens
The course is a excellent test of golf with some great holes. Unfortunately the greens were not in good condition. Despite the break caused by a Covid lockdown the greens were bumpy and had many poorly repaired spots.
Challenging Course
Played the Priory course, windy day mad it
more of a challenge, greens in good nick.
Overall enjoyed it
Breadsall
Played in wet conditions, arrived to be told only 14 holes would be open.
There were winter tees on, some holes, however some holes had no markers so not sure whether you were on a mat or not.
Temporary greens, but instead of a proper temporary, a hole had just been cut in the fairway on one hole.
Overall, pointless to pay and travel to for 3/4 of the course in poor condition
