Bury Golf Club

First time playing the course, staff very friendly. It was late January so it was off temporary greens and one hole was closed. However, considering the weather we’d had it wasn’t bad underfoot and the layout was brill. In the Spring I can imagine the course looking and playing fantastic.

Played an enjoyable 4 ball - course was heavy but given the amount of rain in the week prior it had drained well.

Challenging, tough par fours - we all enjoyed it and will definitely play again on a Hot Deal - not sure about the normal price of a round when compared to other local courses.

A great course to play and the only negative issue I have is there could be more markers on the fairways or on the back of the green as some of the greens are hidden. It’s a great course, well kept. The fairways and greens are in immaculate condition The pro shop staff are very friendly, we never used the bar but we did speak to staff and they were very accommodating. Great course, well worth the money.

The course was in cracking knick the greens where lovely for £20 we will be coming back

The course in general is well kept but the greens were heavily sanded and not as true as I’ve known them. I think £30 a round here is a little expensive to be fair.

Did not play to well but loved the course, up in the top 3 i have played, am a novice golfer, will be going back after a bit more practice!!

Enjoyed the course in good condition well worth playing.

Great course to play, but not in force ten gale like it was for us. The course itself was immaculate and the members we met were really friendly and helpful.

Although the cours is in great condition and a good test, the pace of it ruined the round for us. As a two ball we were behind a two ball. We are not fast player however we had to wait on every shot. It took us a hour to do four holes. Unfortunately at no point was there any invitation to play through and in the end this resulted in us having to force our way through just to get the round finished. Overall as I say the course and staff were lovely however the curiosity for other players wasn't there.

Great course and potential, lots of work happening with trees being cut down and one hole cut short. Still charged premium rate for time of year which we didn’t feel was justified given the work happening and how wet the conditions were!

Great course, well kept especially at this time of year. Cosmo made us feel very welcome, especially as novices who’s game can best be described as mediocre.

Very interesting course alway like it recommended only 1 but greens are soft and spongy could not put on them time of year if it was nearer home would seriously think of being a member
