Some bad areas not maintained in fairways.

Good value for a municipal & a good test of where your golf’s at.

Interesting course ruined by an abysmal pace of play.

played here a few times and it never fails to surprise me how hilly it is. Probably due to the fact that i,m getting older!

It was fine drizzle when we played last which didnt help us at all. I still enjoyed it as all the par 4,s are reachable in 2.

Couple of signature holes which are a challenge, and quite a few "blind" holes" .....I,ll be back!

Staff we encountered were brilliant and very friendly. Course was very good greens were fantastic. Only downside was that the round took ages because the pace of play was so slow, a group a few in front caused a bottle neck all over the course with a buggy and taking far too long looking for balls and waiting to tee off after the green was clear even on long par 4s and par 5s.

Great round though would play again and recommend

Teed of at 8.40 in the morning and didn’t tee off until 9.00, we then played 3 holes in an hour and a half, 0 golf etiquette from golfers in front and massive hold up on every hole. Rude staff members on arrival. Would not recommend anyone to play this course!

Great course, difficult when playing for the first time. Greens were excellent. Very hilly. Amenities could be better looked after. Fantastic value for money however.

It could be a great course, but the tee beds are awful, the Fairways need cutting, the rough needs sorting out, the bunkers need sorting out and there's too many blind tee shots but I like it!

It could be magnificent!

I have played here several times in the past and had great time playing on the course but the staff can be very rude and Abrupt after my visit this time I will not be going back because of the way the staff handled them selves

Visited heaton park for the first time this weekend. Course in decent condition for the time of year and not requiring fairway mats etc. As others have mentioned the course is very hilly with a number of blind tee shots. Course knowledge is a must for a decent round. The 11th and 12th over the ravine are a good challenge.

Would I rush back, no, but for the price as a last minute round it was worth it.

I played here many years ago and forgot what this course was like. The course itself was great. Lovely fairways and greens. Tee boxes were a little worse for wear. Each hole was different to every other one but going from one hole to the next wasn’t obvious or signposted well enough. Finally, this course is hilly. Very hilly. Up and down constantly. You need to be fit, or have an electric buggy or rent a cart. A couple of holes we were panting during them (40 year old men).

Would I play it again…Yes. But I need some recovery time so not the following week.

Would love to rate this higher as I’m a big fan of Heaton Park, and think it’s an exceptional municipal course. However, the pace of play on Sunday was insanely slow, to the point where I had to abandon my round at 2:15 with 6 holes left to play (I’d started at 10:30). Multiple large groups, many players spending excessive time searching for mis-hit shots in areas they were never going to find them instead of just dropping

Really need more done by the course to combat this as it’s put me off ever booking again the afternoon

The course was extremely overbooked. There was a three ball in front of us with 1 buggy and two sets of clubs between all three of them. Very, very slow left after 11 holes.
