Good challenging course
Course seems to be taken good care of. Staff were friendly. Members were friendly and spoke to us which can be hit and miss at some clubs. Very challenging course with scorecard and tees mapped out for each hole which is very helpful to first time visitors. Will definitely return great day out.
Review
First time playing this course great starting hole par 3, greens in great condition considering the rain of late will definitely return in summer.
Great layout
Loved the course the greens were holotined so putting was hit and miss overall first time I've played and will be back again
Greens are fantastic
As it’s early in the golf season the few courses I have played the greens haven’t been up to scratch at north Manchester or nefyn, so was pleasantly surprised the greens were fast and in perfect condition at bury was an absolute pleasure course in great condition so much so I’m playing again today
Thinkers course
Managed to get a late morning time despite a member's comp. Course in great condition, especially the greens. Extremely windy which made the course really tricky but still a fair challenge. Not long but you need to plot your way round as positioning makes the difference.
Three Mackenzie greens added to the attraction. Back in the Spring!!
16 hole average course
Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with my visit to Bury Golf Club. I was notified mid way through our round that 2 holes were currently closed for refurbishment. This was frustrating as we wouldn’t have booked to play this course had the club notified teeofftimes that this was the case. The overall condition for the time of year was fairly good, although there was an awful lot of debris on the greens which made it impossible to make anything. The 150 markers had also been taken out and were left on the ground in locations that my view ranger proved were often incorrect. I don’t believe in summer that this would be great course. There were far too many blind tee/approach shots, and the holes appear to have simply been designed to fit into the land as oppose to have Brennan designed to a professional standard. To summarise, I will not be returning.
Superb course
Played this course 3 days ago for the first ti e and loved it that much we came back today despite gale force winds and showers! Course in superb condition for the time of year. I'm a high handicap beginner and I think the course offers a really good test for all levels. Can't wait to play this in the summer I bet they have it pristine! Highly recommended
Handicap 31 - score 104
Heaven in Bury
Beautiful tees greens fairways views. Every hole is different and challenging. You have to play for position rather than just hitting length. Fairly elevated but gradual so no heart attacks like other local clubs. Couple of signature holes would not look out of place at any top clubs
Great wet weather golfing
A really nice course. Even in the torrential rain the large number of interesting holes made for a thoroughly enjoyable mornings golf.
A lovely undulating layout in the valley followed by a friendly clubhouse bar.
fabulous greens
The course was perfect. We played off some mat tees but the fairways and especially the greens were fab. For any time of year.
Just wish this course was nearer to home.
Really enjoyed our game of golf and the members are so friendly and make you feel very welcome.

Nice not long ......... a thinking man's course
Extremely pleasant golf course. On arrival great welcome from the Pro Gary Coupe. Short course driver not needed on every par 4. Greens were in excellent conditions tricky and big. Really enjoyed the day out will be coming back soon. Friendly people in the clubhouse made us feel very welcome. Great day out. Thanks
3 ball at Bury
Found the course in great condition and the greens in excellent condition. No hold up in play and great value. Enjoyable as always.
Great course
First time I’ve played Bury Golf course and pleasantly surprised. A nice welcome at the pro shop to start and a great course for the money. Greens were true and in great condition. A few memorable holes made for an eventful round. A couple of characters in the bar afterwards just rounded off the day nicely. Highly recommended

Some great deals on teeofftimes here, usually in the afternoon though rather than the morning unfortunately.
However course is in great condition and starts with a par 3 outside the pro shop. The course was very quiet midweek afternoon which was good. Whilst no wow factor, I would most definitely be back.
Bury Golf Club
Very friendly staff in the club shop
Course was in excellent condition, especially the greens.

Little Gem
First time I’ve played this course and will definitely be returning. Lots of character and interesting holes.
This review is hilarious!
Bury was designed by Alister MacKenzie, the greatest golf course architect ever to have lived! The whole point of designing a golf course is to fit the land, and if that involves a few blind shots - so be it.
I suggest that the reviewer sticks to boring tree-lined flat farmers' field golf courses, of which there are are many.
Bury is a great course to be savoured by connoisseurs.
