Great golf course, friendly staff . Looking forward to the next game

The course was in an excellent condition despite poor overnight weather. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately I had my experience ruined by a 3 ball who did not let me through despite being behind them after the 4th hole. I am completely aware that I am not entitled to to be let through it is disappointing especially when I witnessed the 3 ball do the following:

Scream after their tee shots and disturb my putts when I was on a nearby green.

Not let me through despite several times standing on the tee box watching them look for balls for 3-5 minutes.

Watching them putt out, them seeing me wait to play an approach shot but then proceed to drop balls down and practice their putting.

On the 18th it is a call through hole (par 3)…. They did not let me hit my tee shot. Saw me waiting….. putted out and shook hands and then proceeded to drop a ball into a green side bunker and start practicing hitting out of it.

I did mention it to a lovely gentleman in the pro shop after the round who explained he would speak to them.

It is a shame as the course was really lovely and I would just be reluctant to return if some members etiquettes were this bad.

Enjoyed the course, good layout, lots of really good holes, would definitely play again.

Very welcoming club, great experience from start to finish. Course looked superb, even paced greens and well manicured throughout. Some difficult holes but enjoyed every one. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.

First time playing the course. Some of the greens were a bit patchy but overall a really nice course with some nice risk and reward holes. Nice views over Manchester as well

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course had a good layout and holes were challenging without being too hard. Some local players had said the course wasn’t in great shape due to the lack of rain for the past 4 weeks. and the greens were a little rough bobbly and dry. The fairways were okay but again a little dry. It’s a nice course and would play well when watered thoroughly but it’s a bit expensive for what it is. I paid £37 per round and I would expect better than that. Saying that I would play here as long as it’s been a little wet

Well laid out course with plenty of thought needed rather than length. Fairways are in desperate need of water (not the clubs fault) and I guess the greens have remained slow for the same reason. Pro very helpful and members considerate would go back 👍🏼

Staff in pro shop rude and unwelcoming course almost unplayable. Charge extra £10 for mat

all fine and good fairways and some grounds were mud and some times in rainning.

Called the course to check conditions this morning, was informed it was “slightly firm in places but otherwise playing fine.” Travelled an hour to play here and was charged full green fees. Every green was frozen solid, paths haven’t seen a grain of salt in there lives, unsafe would be an understatement. All in all I feel like I have been ripped off paying to play this course.
