Great course stunning views
Booked through Golf Now. One of us couldn’t make it but paid up front. No pro shop open so couldn’t get a credit. Really enjoyed rough a nightmare if you strayed off fairways, greens were fabulous and sneaky fast. Overall excellent.
Buxton at its best
A wonderful course - The first six holes are simply stunning both for scenery and hole difficulty - The 4th and 5th are links holes in nature and really tough . Overall , the course is not hilly and just a joy to play . Staff really friendly and helpful too
great days golf
would recommend this course to all golfers, good test lovely area and friendly people
Gem of a course
Amazing course- great price..
Made very welcome. Great food afterwards as well.
Will definitely visit again. Well worth it.
Great Course Spoilt by Slow Play
Lovely course, with some very well thought out holes & scary drive on 1st if not warmed up,!! bunkers positioned in strategic spots, but if your going hack your ball around course & fanny aroiund on every tea.. please have curtesy to let 3ball pass thru rather than wait until 16th hole!!!
Nice course
Nice course, makes good use of some natural features. Very friendly staff. Could do wil a halfway hut though :)
Intriguing course layout.
The course potentially could be fantastic. It’s has so much potential but it just needs tidying up in certain places. Some cracking holes. Quite a few blind drives. It’s almost May and I would expect the greens to be in a better condition so this was really disappointing, almost bone dry to the touch. They were in desperate need of water. But the fairways were lush and I would say this was its strength.
Beautiful course
1st time played this course. Everyone we met from staff to members were really friendly. Course was great. Beautiful surroundings, interesting challenge and great condition considering it had snowed last week. Would recommend and look forward to playing again.
Nice coures
Having lived locally to bakewell for years this course hasn’t been on my radar.
Really glad we tried it !
Although the clubhouse was closed , the views of bakewell for a post game beer are amazing.
The course it self is very well maintained although the greens had just had some maintenance, once settled they’ll be fast and true.
Set on a hillside we were expecting smaller holes and lots of hills, this isn’t really the case.
You do need to be relatively fit and agile but no more than most courses.
The 9/18 hole is a real treat , looking forward to playing it again.
Buxton in April
For the time of year, I have no complaints about this course. The greens were hollow tined which is always going to happen at this time of year.
Good layout, although crossing the A6 was a mission. It has lots of holes that make you have to think, which I like. Instead of just blasting a driver away all the time, which can be tedious.
I will go back again in the height of summer and play it at its best and I can’t wait.
I’m a scratch golfer on a comeback from a bad injury and this place suited my return to 18 holes.
Very friendly staff and had a socially distanced chat with some locals who were very welcoming.
Overall, really pleased. Thank you Buxton
The course was not in good condition, it's hard to decide if more sand was on the green or bunkers
Excellent course
Fantastic course and well priced...good course layout allows for a good pace of play.
Great first outing at Buxton
Loved the course - great condition and a bit linksy in parts! Tees and greens in great condition - we'll be back for sure
