Cavendish Golf Club

Fantastic course, superbly designed as expected by Mackenzie, it didn't disappoint. Both staff and members were very welcoming. One of the best courses I've played in a long time, not long but take your A game!

The first few holes are very hilly and gets you thinking "this is going to be hard work" but after that, the course flattens out. The course is amazing and is in top condition. Lot's of great features and well placed bunkers. The rough is forgiving unless you go wide, which is how it should be!

The greens are good! Really quick, but good and run true. Cant wait to come here again.

Started playing back golf 8 weeks ago after 5 years off n I've been some different courses n have to say this is the best I've played within a 60 mile radius ..the fairways were lovely.some great downhill par 3s n only one tough par 5 ..met the captain who was with a guy from golfnation doing the top 100 courses in England well this is one of them

Great course design, fabulous greens, but tricky..

The bar was shut for refurbishment which was a shame.

Pro shop very friendly staff.

Will definitely return, but on s sunny day as I guess the views will be fabulous.

A fantastic layout with a stunning backdrop, some truly great holes and not one hole that disappoints. Greens were fast and true and the course was in excellent condition.

Great design from the designer of Augusta USA, it is said that this was a practice for USA. Fabulous condition, although a short course definitely not easy lot of shots lost on the legendary fast greens.

What a fantastic course, not long but very challenging greens where in great condition and views where to die for ,the staff and members where very welcoming cant wait to play this again.

Cracking little course with the toughest little greens in the area. A tough walk but makes for a good day out of golf

Lovely day at an absolutely cracking course. Not a single bad hole. I'd read a few articles a while back praising the layout and I have to say it, I wasn't disappointed. Would well recommended to anyone and for £25 myself and my playing partner walked away knowing we'd got an absolute bargain. We will be back, 100%!!

Although the course was saturated by the wet weather the greens ran well. The picturesque Autumn setting coupled with the rustic edges of the course really are something to marvel at for any first time visitor. The 3rd and 4th are cracking holes back to back that give you a feel of what your in for early doors. Gentleman in the clubhouse was friendly and informative. Only black spot we followed a comp out which was undetandbly slow but we got in just before dark. Will Return & Recomend.

There's not many better course in a 20 mile radius of Cavendish GC!!

Highly recommend to play this course if you've ever watched the master's and fancied your chances. This will give you a glimpse of how great Augusta is because you won't stop talking about how good cavendish is!!

A MUST PLAY!!

Warm welcome from the "professional's" shop. Great design/layout by Alister MacKenzie, greens in excellent condition, rolling smooth. If only the bar staff after the round were welcoming it would be one of the best places in the UK to visit. May feel a little short for long hitters but a great test and a chance to play strategically for everyone. Stunning views, challenging holes and a need to use a wide variety of clubs. Don't be fooled by the false fronts on some holes, never miss on the wrong side. Once on the green the challenge increases, read all putts from both sides, take extra care with the pace needed. No surprise Augusta National is so hard after playing here.

Would highly recommend. It is a must play course around Derbyshire.

Although I had a a decent bunch of pars and a lucky birdie on the 18th; it is not by far an easy course.

A terrific Alister MacKenzie original. Wonderful feeling of space; lots of elevated tees; tricky, sloping greens; great par 3s - it`s all there.
