Brilliant course
Love this course as soon as saw hot deal for £19 I booked
Friendly staff again, course excellent even with heavy rain

The course has many varied holes. I feel it would be a challenge for both experienced and inexperienced players. The greens were in good condition and fairways were lush. We used a buggie which was modern, clean and the Pro was very supportive in explaining g to one of our group how the buggie worked.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Fourball
Played July with 3 friends.all enjoyed the course quite a few blind shots but course was in excellent condition and lots of variation in holes with nice views.members and staff were friendly would definitely recommend
Top course
The course was fantastic only thing that beat us was the daylight but manage to get 15 holes in fairways were great and the greens were also good
Disappointing to say the least
The booking confirmation contained a note to say that from 1st Dec the course would use mats, at a cost of £5 which would be refunded on return of the mat. We played in mid Nov.
Firstly, on arrival we we told that mats were in play, costing £25 per mat on a non refundable basis. We declined to pay and had to place the ball in the rough!
Secondly, although I had booked a two ball we were required to pair up with two strangers - nothing against the chaps, but uncomfortable doing this in the covid world.
Trying to find how to raise a formal complaint via email or the phone using the main web site was fruitless. I did find an address to write to. Not very helpful at all - might this be to discourage the raising of complaints?
All in all very disappointing - not sure I will be using this firm again. Will be interesting to see if they reach out to me after this review is posted.
Crompton and Royton
Unfortunately we could not play the round due to personal circumstances. We did inform the golf club.In order to advise we couldn't / didn't play the round I had to put a rating hence 1 star. I did look to cancel but saw that the fee was non returnable. This would make me consider using the app again.
We played this course on a sunday, and it was very busy, waiting a few minutes at each tee box. However the course was in excellent condition, all the greens apart from the last (work looks to be getting done on the green so part of it was cordoned off) were in good condition. Really good layout with a mix of shorter holes on the front 9 and then some longer holes on the back 9. Would definately play again.
Course in great condition but slow round
Course was in great condition and is really well looked after, greens where superb, however course was very busy (4.5hour round for a 2 ball), lots of blind tee shots/approach shots and narrow fairways made it difficult with how busy it was. Would recommend a game here but pick a quieter day (i played a Sunday). Guy in pro shop very friendly explaining course as first time visitors.
Nice course
Helpful in pro shop. Greens in very good condition and course generally tidy and well cared for.
Definitely good value and worth a visit.
Bank Holiday Golf
Great day out at Crompton & Royton to celebrate the remainder of my sons 21st birthday celebrations.
The course is in superb condition given recent weather, the greens are as true as I have played for a long time.
Excellent course - Friendly welcome
I chose to play here based on location being central to playing partners so didn’t expect much.
Upon arrival and checkin the pro was very welcoming, had a good chat and he talked me through the local rules and Covid measures.
The course itself was in perfect condition, the greens were amongst the best I’ve played this year.
There’s some interesting and challenging holes that’ll test the best golfers.
After the round we stayed for a drink and we were invited to join a table by a couple of members and made to feel welcome.
Will definitely come back to play again
Superb Condition
First time I’ve played there and it won’t be the last. It’s in fantastic condition and not being used to such good greens I managed to roll a few a long way past! A great mix of holes and challenges and a few card wreckers along the way! Now I’ve played it a bit of knowledge of the course should help me get a better score - should!!! Looking forward to going back already.
Very friendly staff put us at ease when visiting a new course.
