Decent course. Steep playing!
Course was good. First 9 holes are quite easy going. Back 9 is like climbing mountains, but you do get great views of the surrounding areas and it's got quite a pleasant breeze as well. Overall good value for money at £15.99 Golf now offer. Hard work with a push trolley, carry bag recommended.
Not the best
Came on an unfortunate day to catch rain in July. Had the course to ourselves due to being very quiet. Bad tee boxes with hardly any grass and water logged fairways. Found no practice/warm up areas e.g. nets, putting green practice area didn’t look the best. Wouldn’t recommend.
Nice course! Good value.
The course seems nicely kept. Very good value at £22 for a visitor round.
Played early on Saturday morning, so no one else was on the course. Very hilly in parts, so a physical challenge, but that leads to some great views of the surrounding area and Manchester City centre. Layout of the course was challenging in parts, with no par 5s, and a few long par 4s. Some difficult blind tee shots, tricky uphill par 3 holes, and hidden greens to navigate. A good fun challenge.
Nice coyrse
Easy to follow, hly back nine but friendly and welcoming,
Great course. Tough to score on due to conditions of greens
I really enjoy playing this course casually. Probably has the best views from a golf course in Manchester. Its hard to score on the course due to the conditions of most of the greens. If you are looking for a casual round with a nice view and a bit of up hill walking, this place is great.
Very hilly and slopey course conditions not great
I don't want to be harsh but this course is very hilly and very slopey not really for me , the greens weren't in great condition, a lot of the bunkers full of weeds and stones some really bare and the tee boxes all wonkey and bare.
Now to be fair we have had a lot of dry weather so I get that it's hard keeping the course in good condition but I think more could be done. The staff in the pro shop were nice enough can't fault them , not sure if the club house was open for a pint and something to eat it didn't look like it and there is also no warm up/practice facilities no putting green or nets. I paid £12.99 on a hot deal so my round was cheap enough but I wouldn't want to pay much more than that, it's OK for a knock as long as you are physically fit enough to get up and down the hills , I hate to be harsh or sound like a snob but I'd rather be honest.
Oldham golf course
Oldham golf course is a quite challenging golf course.
The lower first nine holes are quite flat then the incline starts.
From then on the course all slopes down to the right.or the left if your playing the opposite direction.
It carries on going up hill on every hole until the 16th which is a short par 3 then onto the long downhill 17th before going towards the clubhouse at the 18th.
The course could do with some attention to the bunkers and the greens which I've been told the New greens keeper is working on them and should be alot better next year.

Great Course
Great course with some amazing views or Oldham and Manchester
Quite round
Played oldham today, bit of an so/so round, checked in with club shop and the staff were excellent very friendly gave all info needed and open for a chat,
Course front 8 fairly flat and from 9 onwards a-lot of up and down hills not to bad tho,
Greens could of been better, couple of old cup sites where grass was sat up slightly, bunkers quite rocky and alot of them didn't have rakes.
Overall i would do it again as its a cheap round of golf.
Oldham golf Club.. Worth a read
After playing at this course 24 years ago i can say not much has changed.
The odd tree cut down from the practice area and the occasional retainer post missing on the 10th green.
Something that will come as a shock.. NO insurance = No driver of the first!
It’s a rule thats been in place since i was a Jr here and it hasn't changed.
You need to be straight, this course doesn’t allow for way ward shots..
Opportunities arise to score and you can score good!!
Don’t be afraid to take the green on from the tees, they are reachable from the whites and you can score!
A few holes to watch out for…
3rd - a valley to drive over.
4th - the bunker.
6th - The longest Par 4 you will play..
And that is just the front 9!!!
A fun and over all round with great weather.
