2nd time playing this course wont be the last its a great course in fab condition

Played a long time ago and still tricky course that keeps you interested really hot day but all lads enjoyed the game

Course in great condition, greens are fast, the fairways here are better than greens at other clubs. You do have to be consistent here and straight drives are essential as fairways are tight, some of these par 4 holes are irons off tee then iron onto green obviously I’ll know for next time haha, overall very good course will definitely be going back. Par 3 first hole which is a bit nervy because everyone is watching your first strike of the ball which with a driver everyone has a bad drive or two but here you need a good hit first time for sure

Course excellent very tight in places wasn’t busy when we played so no problems

Clubhouse does not open on a Monday and Pro shop was closed when we finished at 3 .30 May be due to Covid.

Will visit again for £18

Played just before lunch today, we were on our way back home from an appontment and had earmarked this course previously.

Superb friendly welcome from the Professional; good area to warm up the old body with nets and putting green.

The course tself plays a lot harder than a mere look at the card. With some thought required off most tees

This is not a grip it and rip it course for sure. Excellent use of natural hazards can see you in severe trouble only yards from the green.

The greens themselves were the onlyet down, more because of a lack of fellow players repairing pitch marks than anything. They are very consistent for pace which helps but a little bobbly, though a little rain would help that.

Great to see the staff out on the course repairing divots and cutting fairways, the rough however we thought was a little tougher than needed. Spoke to some members and they agreed.

Overall a great picturesque course that we certainly be going to again.

Pro very welcoming on arrival. Course was in very good condition and greens ran true. A challenging and picturesque course with views over to Winter Hill. I will be playing again soon!

We have played this course on a number of occasions and its always been a pleasure, greens and tees in great nick, and though whoever put out the yellow markers needs to have and though look as some of them were heading you into the trees!!! However, big bugbear in that there were no 150 yard markers on the fairways, only the disks on the fairways....golf is always trying to speed up play not having 150 yard posts dramatically slows things up, we were constantly walking up and down the fairways trying to find the marker discs!!!! Not good....overall though, great day in the sunshine.

Excellent user friendly golf course, great lay out, superb greens. I was fortunate to be invited to join a golf society just before my solo tee time, so glad I did ,they were great company on and off the course. 15 mins after we finished the 18th the monsoon started, sincerely hope it has not damaged the course. I will definitely play it again. Well impressed and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Great course in great condition, the greens were a little ropey and maybe could have done with a cut but besides that worth every penny

Course in great condition, fairways lush and greens very true. The course meanders interestingly along the foothills of Bolton presenting a number of challenging shots over gully's and streams. Many picturesque holes to play with the beautiful backdrop of the pennines to boot. Signature hole for me was number 5, 150 yrs, par 3 with the green protected by bunkers and a fast running stream and the St Andrews style foot bridge to get you to your ball if you are lucky and skilled enough to get there. Once the game was over the staff in the clubhouse were very friendly and served a well earned pint! If you get a chance play this little hidden gem.

Great course really enjoyed it on a beautiful day, both greens and fairways in excellent condition for February will definitely play here again, really friendly members and shop staff, Even the captain of the club came across to introduce himself he was busy tidying up the course with another gentleman, he told us to enjoy our round thanks again for a great day
