The land that now provides a home to Quarry Golf Course was formerly the abandoned Alamo Cement plant. Keith Foster converted this unique location into a challenging layout with a links-style front nine and a back nine that plays entirely through an abandoned rock quarry with walls over a 100 feet tall on three sides. The first half of the golf course features plays through open fields of rolling hills with native grasses and a near absence of trees. Creeks and streams come into play on six holes of the front nine. The quarry pit on the back nine is truly the most unique feature on the golf course. Quarry Golf Course's most dramatic hole is the 17th, which requires a tee shot over a deep ravine that is framed by a 40-foot waterfall.

The Quarry is my new ATF course!!!

It really is like playing 2 different courses in one! Loved the angles on this course. 1st hole especially how the green is blind from the tee box. And the greens are so pure with not 1 flat green on the entire golf course! I loved it and I will be back often!!!

Haven’t played The Quarry in years, but it’s still a fantastic track. Love the layout. Good choice of tee boxes to challenge any golfer. Course was in great conditions and greens rolled true. Hard to beat the back nine!

Horrible greens

Course layout is nice. If the greens weren’t so shaggy and slow I’d rate it 5 stars. I play a lot and I think those were the slowest greens I’ve ever played. For me that ruins the round.

The Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio

Handicap is a joke, cart will not let you get within 70-90 yards from front of greens and you cannot drive on some par 4 holes so you must stay on cart path or your cart dies and no driving on any par 3 at all.. They might as well not have handicap on this course,

I did not find most personal friendly unless you were a regular client. I purchase my discount tee time thru Golfnow so that might have been the reason.

Overall course was decent shape except all flags are blue so hard to judge front, middle, and back flags. Glad I paid the discount price vs normal price and will not revisit this course in the future

Great layout

The course has two very different 9's which make it a blast to play. All of the golf carts have GPS and bluetooth if you want to listen to music. I believe the GPS speeds things up quite a bit. Friendly staff as well. Only down fall was the greens.
