The land that now provides a home to Quarry Golf Course was formerly the abandoned Alamo Cement plant. Keith Foster converted this unique location into a challenging layout with a links-style front nine and a back nine that plays entirely through an abandoned rock quarry with walls over a 100 feet tall on three sides. The first half of the golf course features plays through open fields of rolling hills with native grasses and a near absence of trees. Creeks and streams come into play on six holes of the front nine. The quarry pit on the back nine is truly the most unique feature on the golf course. Quarry Golf Course's most dramatic hole is the 17th, which requires a tee shot over a deep ravine that is framed by a 40-foot waterfall.

Spend the money and play here!
Most beautiful and by far most fun course I've ever played here in San Antonio. Don't sleep on this course, spend the money and enjoy everything it has to offer! Even the food in the clubhouse is on par with going to a restaurant. Amazing round!

An over priced, under maintained course.
The carts were still soaking wet from when the cart boy hosed it down. The pace of play was god awful; 5-6 hours for 18 holes. Tee boxes were poorly layed out with the markers not facing any of the actual holes. Drinks are overpriced.

I got charged after canceling my reservation!
I canceled this round almost a month before the date and wasn't even in San Antonio on Dec. 20th. They charged me the full amount on December 31st. Ridiculous!
I tried calling and they would not take my call either.

Best Public in San Antonio
Best public course in San Antonio hands down. Amazing facility, incredible course conditions, challenging and fun to play. The back 9 is the coolest set of holes you’ll see. Very different from front 9, which is still great in its own right!
