The Quarry Golf Course

Great experience all-round: front 9 is fun, but the magic starts on the back. Firing over water, elevated boxes, and the thrilling 17; take as much as you dare. Another consideration: the Quarry culture makes you feel welcomed...brings a smile. Friendly, helpful...what a great way to start! Greens were recently punched, but soon they will be perfect, as usual. Played it many times. Can't wait for the next time.

Here we are in late April and the greens at the Quarry are in bad shape. I'm surprised they are charging full rate when there's not a smooth green on the course. This has always been one of my favorite tracks until today. My experience was very out of character for this course. As is the case with most courses, they don't volunteer information that their course is temporarily substandard before you play it.

Had to wait for a tournament to start. A bit annoying. Greens were recently plugged making them bumpy. Front nine was okay, but the back nine was unique. Staff and Marshal were very friendly and apologized was the late start.

Great course but can get pretty exhausting on the back 9 in the summer heat

Staff / starter / Marshall all very nice. Was paired with 3 other players, very friendly and we all had a good time. Starter went over rules on first tee. Got 2 bags of range balls free which was a surprise. The tees, fairways, and layout out excellent.. greens recovering from aerification. Weren't real bad but not real good either.. course was challenging and fair except for 18.. hit what I thought was good drive down the middle, never found ball.. elephant hump in middle of fairway..will definitely play again.

We are avid golfers having played too many courses to count over the years and this course ranks right up there. The course was in great shape, well layed out but the back 9 was the hilite - you have to see it to believe it! All the staff from the bag boys, to the starter, maintenance staff & restaurant staff were very friendly & helpful. Highly recommend.

This course is challenging, more so on the back nine, but an interesting and satisfying layout. It is a fair test that makes you think about how much trouble you want to cut off on holes on the back nine with penalties for getting too greedy. It has plenty of variety with mentally challenging holes often followed by wide open, grip it and rip it holes. Like many courses in San Antonio, there are more elevation changes than one would think.

Love this course. Played TPC San Antonio and The Golf Club of Houston on my Texas trip and this course was actually my favorite of the 3 to play. Super cool layout, especially the back 9. Rewards shot-making. You definitely won't need to hit driver every hole and the back gets tight. The greens weren't in the best condition but then again, I had just played TPC San Antonio the day before but they did roll true and for golfing in March, that's good enough. Really enjoyed the course and looking forward to playing again on my next trip.

First time playing this course and had a great experience!!! I'll definitely play again!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The back nine is inside an old quarry and laid out very well. The bunkers were hungry and tough.

This course was in great shape especially for the time of year. I was so impressed that I played 36! The front nine is a more classically shaped with well placed bunkers and ponds. The back nine I where it gets interesting. With cliffs and boulders bordering the fairways , a well placed tee shot is a must. The greens were more of a medium speed, but rolled true with no dead patches. The service was great and the clubhouse had everything you needed for the round. I strongly recommend this course when you visit San Antonio.

The quarry golf course is a first rate facility, my wife and I enjoyed playing here very much.

Golf now pricing made this round of golf affordable, if I had to pay the regular rate, I could not have gone.

Interesting course! The back nine layout down inside the old quarry has some neat views. The course was in tough shape but that was all due to the recent severe storm and the damage associated with it. Would like to go back in a month and play it again.

Jesus and the rest of the staff really went out if their way to take care of us out of Towner's. Got rained out on the back nine but the quarry nine looked amazing. Can't wait to visit again.

Course was a fantastic time. Rated course conditions as a 4...not the Quarry fault, I blame the tornado. Front is decent back the back is truly awesome. Views were amazing and the holes were lots of fun. Staff was really friendly. Great experience.

We are from Nebraska where many of the courses are flat so this was a nice change from what we are used to playing. The Quarry was recommended by a few SA friends and we are so glad we played it. Challenging with the elevation changes but a great course. Very scenic and loved that it been a quarry. The staff were all extremely nice - highly recommend this course.
