About
Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas, located only 15 minutes from San Antonio's Riverwalk, has quickly gained a reputation as being some of the best golf in Texas. The layout covers 262 scenic acres of rolling hills covered in mature oaks and cedar trees. The challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways and carefully contoured greens. There are also lakes and creeks, both dry and wet, coming into play throughout the golf course. The front nine's signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has 20 acres of water bordering the entire left side, while the back nine's signature is the par-4 15th, which is considered the toughest hole on the golf course. This 446-yard hole features an elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left and two creeks crossing the fairway.

2nd time @ SilverHorn
Booked tee time through GolfNow for 3:36pm. Arrived there about 1 hr early to hit some balls. That way, you can only use mat instead of ground. They were running late by 40 mins because short of carts. Finally started playing after 40 mins of wait. Course was in pretty good condition, there were 3-4 holes were cart path only (don't know the reason). There was no rain last few days. We could've only finished 16 holes. Hopefully delay doesn't happen again because I do like going there.
Get ready FORE it
Course was in great shape. Greens fast as always and pace of play was fun.

Nice track
Nice course, good layout. Greens were in great shape just a little slow for my liking. Fairways were a bit to firm, and the bunkers looked nice but they only have about 2 inches of sand over top of some hard packed dirt. Those few little complaints wouldn’t stop me from playing here again. Worth the $45 on GolfNow.

Greens were the best I've played this year although little slow. Good course
Greens and fairways were in very good condition. Pace of play was a little Slow back nine was better than front. we played in about 4 1/2 hours. Our tee time was 1:04 and we didn't tee of until 1:20. The group in front of us was more interested in talking on the tee than teeing off. After 4 holes they finally sped up and everything was good. No Marshalls.

The only real ding on this otherwise excellent course, was the pace of play with a 120+ group playing a tournament. Started 45 min. late. But then it went pretty well after 5 or 6 holes. All in all, it was a very good experience. The greens were perfect and rolled very true. Lot's of trees blocking even a slightly errant shot. But keep it in the fairway and, well, of course, all was good!

Good little course
Played this course on a whim after reading about best courses in SA. It probably had it’s heyday in the 90’s, but it’s bines are still there. It’s not gonna blow you away with amenities, but if you’re just looking for a good solid course this is it. Changes in undulations, challenging fairways, and plush greens. Played it for $60 on Saturday at 11am and that’s a steal. You’ll enjoy it.

Sunday blues
Who has a tournament on a Sunday with a shotgun start so that the last group beginning on number 13 plays six holes in two hours andmakes the turn 25 minutes after our tee time off of #1!
Then, with no marshals moving them along, we get to play five holes in an hour and 45 minutes before deciding “enough is enough“.
To their credit, Silverhorn gave us a rain check and we will try again in the near future
Great Course
First time playing at this course. It was nice and we enjoyed the layout. It appeared they overbooked for the day though because we had to join another party. We just played a little slower though and let them get ahead of us.

Great Value
The course is under construction which impacts play and prevented a higher rating. The greens are in much better shape than they’d been in a while.
Twilight round
Got a nice deal for Sunday twilight. Play was going well until the first par 3 on the front and it got all backed up. Really jammed up and caused me not to be able to get very many holes on the back 9. Mostly due to a very slow 4 some, two groups in front of us that had a kid in the group. Really needed a ranger to move them along. Faiways were in good shape and greens were awesome! Best i saw in my 5 rounds in San Antonio. Good value for the money for twilight.

Silverhorn Super Slow
Although I love the rate, the course, & the staff is always friendly & accomodating, you better plan to spend at least 5 hours or more per round when it is crowded.

Slow
This is the worst experience I had had at Silverhorn. The condition of the course is good but pace if play, today, was unbearable. Almost 5 hours for a 3 some. I'll be back but not much more if it's this slow

I cancelled with both the app and the pro shop itself because of the weather and they told me I would be refunded. How long will that take? Thank you for your time.
