Dukinfield Golf Club

Hilly course, with lots of varied holes. Really good use of the natural features, seen no clearly than the par3 second hole. Would have given 5 stars throughout but played early in the morning after a few wet days, so there was some standing water on a fairway. Greens very varied too.

It rained all day. There was no one else on the course and we got round in 2hours 30 mins. The course was in a great condition, the greens were in a excellent condition ran true. Even though it rained we enjoyed the round.

The weather has been bad over the last week and it had rained heavily during the night, so the course had some surface water on it in places, which was not surprising.

Notwithstanding, the recent weather, the course dried out quickly during the round and I thought the general condition was very good. The course had a good mix of interesting and challenging holes and I would definitely come back and play on a hot summer's day when the course would play shorter and greens were faster.

The members were very friendly and helpful on the course and in the clubhouse afterwards.

I remember first time I played here when I first turned off the road I thought I'd blown it, I drove into what looked like a young offenders prison... How early looks can be deceiving.... It is a gem of a course from the first hole dog leg it navigates you through a wonderful parkland course.... It has a new section of holes 9 onwards for a few then brings you back on the old course. The staff and members were all very friendly.... Greens top, fairways lush.... Need I say anymore

Since golfnow has replaced teeofftimes it has really numbed the mood as I was put in a football with two people I did not know. This in itself has created tension from the word go.

Found myself with time to kill in Manchester so I booked a round of golf, never played here before, really nice layout, and one or two very tricky holes, the views across to the city centre to the west, and up to the moors in the east, a very pleasant afternoon.

Play here at least once a month, love the place. Can't fault course, greens in great nick, highly recommended.

Front 9 okay but back 9 just a boring slog and one particular member of the green staff roams the course with a pair of binoculars checking out the players mind you there were only 3 of us on so he ft be too busy but the tirade of abuse I got fie not using a fairway mat was disgusting considering there is no notices no flag up on the site to say they are on fairway mats I was shocked by his language

First day of winter rules, teeing off mats and mats on the fairways but the course must be protected. There was evidence that some choose to ignore the rules by the number of divots not replaced. Apart from that, had a good round, greens in really good condition and friendly people.

This is one of the best quality golf courses I have ever played, the fairways, semi-rough and bunkers were emasculate with the only bad points on the greens being they were a tad too slow but were very receptive. The course also offers a wide array of great holes each offering a different challenge, with the 8th and 14th holes being my favourite. Couple this with the beautiful views over the moors seen from the higher holes makes for one of the nicest courses I have ever played.

Another great round of golf at Dukinfield. A beautiful October day, started sunny but chilly, with frost on the grass but in the 70s in the afternoon. Course in great nick, the greens fully recovered after the hot summer. Great variety of holes and nobody in front or chasing behind us, rich man’s golf.
