Icy Golf
We played in freezing conditions and it was great fun. Although the greens were solid all greens were open and the course looked in great condition. I used to be a member so it was good to come back and stretch the legs around a stunning course
Great day
Played alone for this one and had a really good game, greens were good, really nice course.
Enjoyable Round
Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Brookdale GC. There are a few blind shots especially off of some of the tees, which made it interesting for me seeing as I have not played there before. A lot of the fairways have quite a slope on them, which didn’t help my with my hooky swing. The staff are very friendly, and facilities are good. If you struggle walking, you definitely need a buggy as it’s quite hilly in places.
Very friendly staff
First time playing at Brookdale, lovely golf course
Staff very friendly and helpful,
Only problem we had we could not find the red tee on the 18th hole .
Went back after a drink and found it , we saw a deer on the bridge beautiful sight .
We hope to be back soon .
Great test of golf for a reasonable price.
Always enjoy Brookdale,a good test yesterday because it was quite windy.the greens are in great condition, very fast, highly recommended.good food in the lounge too.
Great Find
Played every golf course in the area apart from here over the years.
Thought I would give Brookdale a go and what a great decision.
Staff in pro shop were great.
The course is excellent and in great condition.
There are some really challenging holes especially on the back nine.
It did help that there weren't that many players on the course but it's great value for money and we will definitely visit again.
Excellent course
Fantastic course, every hole different, and very well looked after. My only gripe was the 18th was having extensive work done, wasn't sure where to play my tee shot? But once that's finished I'm sure it will be up to the same fantastic standard as the rest of the course. I highly recommend this gem of a course so close to Manchester. I will be back for sure.
Lovely course. One of my favourite in this area.
One of my favourite courses in the area. Great value for money. Is challenging in places and well kept.
The course is short and with 5 par 3’s but still a good test
Course was in great condition , quite busy for a bank holiday Monday , we had a drink and some food before the round , the food is excellent as it has been every time we have played there
First time to Brookdale GC
Thought I’d give Brookdale GC a go and wasn’t disappointed. Sun was out and also a warm welcome by the staff member who booked me in and then it was just followed the signs. Some interesting and challenging holes on the course and as a complete lone novice it was nice to find some wide fairways to provide a little forgiveness when contact wasn’t the best… greens had recently been spiked and seemed quick but I’m sure those that know this course manage very well. Friendly patrons and ground staff added to the positive experience. Nice to see the groundsman checking the bunkers and raking them over as a matter of course even when some appeared immaculate. Yes in places it gets hilly but you have to go up to come down!..and hole 15 is proof of that.
The only two things that could have improved the round would have been a map layout of the course on the score card. I know GPS etc on the phone and apps galore but just a personal preference. The second sadly was the work being carried out on the 18th due to bridge works and what appeared to be a land slip, obviously accuracy is a must but appropriately named the last gap..before the final approach to the deceptive final pin.
Would I recommend it? Yes. Would I play the course again? Yes, once my driving becomes more consistent. Enjoy…
