Stamford Golf Club

Had are tee time delayed then got stuck behind many slow women and gave up after 10 holes. This is a regular occurrence at this course always over booked and such a shame as it’s a good course

Love stamford some really great holes only gripe no sand in most of the bunkers and greens a bit fluffy..

First time playing this course and picked a senior match day which obviously meant lots of waiting time to tee off respective holes. Didn’t bother me too much as I wasn’t in any rush but I did call it a day after the 14th. Club shop staff and the few members knocking around were all very friendly and welcoming, staff made me aware in advance of match when checking in. No one playing behind me so made use of the time with some much needed putting practice. Course is in great condition, some tough undulating greens, well kept tee boxes and plenty of signage for first time players.

Great for average golfers. Overall it rewards accuracy rather than length. Super greens. Short 16th is poor due to playing over the 13th and 14th fairways. No problem for us as the course wS quiet.

First time playing Stamford. I booked for 1000 was asked to start from the 6th as there was an over 55s comp on. Got to the 6th to be asked to start from the 11th due to a group just finishing on the 5th. Got round to the first to be greeted by one 4 ball and two 3 balls. Had to wait to play but didn’t really interfere to much with our round. Course was tough (30hc) due to dry weather and hilly on back 9. £30 for round I think was a fair price

Thank you for GOLFNOW that i booked by online. 4 adults were played golf so very happy. we played golf there in 3/4 years ago. now some changes in times. thanks prakash

Lovely course, fairways in fantastic condition along with the greens, little bit of course knowledge is always helpful so if playing for the first time (like us) can be a little tricky.

I came into this round feeling good scored well for a couple of weeks but wow I got beat up here. Not the longest so driver isn’t always needed (little tip) get yourself in play…. Be prepared for a lot of green side chips, and if you played like I did it’s going to be hard around, good approach shots don’t get rewarded they have to be brilliant, due to the size of the greens I would say it’s the courses biggest defence, although we both got fully beat up round here I would still recommend it to anyone go and see where your games at, this might just be the round that breaks you. Great course, challenging but lovely. Greens are in great condition and stunning views. A lovely course and will definitely come back!

18 different holes, good condition looking forward to playing again.
