Dunston Hall

Really enjoyed this course, quite challenging with bunker placements and numerous water hazards which get you thinking, which can only be a GOOD thing. Will certainly visit more often

First time visited today, course has recovered from the dry summer. Good value for money overall has excellent facilities & well stocked pro shop. Some really interesting holes but few that need attention. Definitely somewhere worth a visit if your not in hurry as even though was quite the members in front of me were very slow. Took 3.5 hours had to walk off in end missing out last 2 holes. Thank you to the greenstaff can see lot of work has been put in. Overall a good track.

The course is very neglected we did not see a green keeper at all ,some of the tees where like the rough and the greens where threadbare and patchy i am glad we only paid 11 pounds for the round because that was about right !!

Excellent course although the long hot spell had dried everything out and the ball ran a long way with little chance of control we really enjoyed it. Will definitely play this course again.

Always like the layout of Dunston Hall but the fairways have really suffered under the current hot/dry conditions, like hitting of concrete, though the greens were okay and were upgrading the green side sprinkler system.

The course definitely suffered due to recent hot weather, thought course would have had more sprinklers in place though looks like new ones were being installed

Once again played Dunston hall for a great price in a beautiful sunny day. Greens were excellent although the fairways were quite dry, hard and couldn’t have done with some watering in my opinion. Rough friendly than in the winter months but still requires accurate shots to get GIR.

Played behind the club’s Ladies vs another Golf Club and never got held up at all. In fact the Ladies were very friendly.

Staff as friendly as always and the 19th hole Bunker Bar was as pleasant and friendly as always.

Would recommend this golf course to anyone who wants a great game of golf on a challenging course that doesn’t penalise too strongly an 18 handicap player..

45 minutes to get to the second green. Slow play is this course's major problem. Also stag parties that abuse protocol is prevelant. Lovely course. Really nice staff. Good facilities. When I complained about slow play they gave me free two ball so that was good.

Could really do with a course marshall as a four ball slowed up the course and there was plenty pf room in front of them. Same could be said for many courses around this area and at this time of year,

Used to play this course regularly a few years ago.

Lovely to return and find that the course is in very good condition and the greens are far and away the best they have looked and played over the times i have been there.

All credit to the green keepers and staff in general.

I look forward to returning very soon.

The course is in excellent condition , the course is challenging , it is quite narrow in places and has plenty of water hazards to negotiate around the course , it was a rainy day when we played but this did not retract from the enjoyment of playing the course and will return , hopefully when it is dry and sunny

Bunkers and tee boxes in very poor condition. Some fairways bare of grass obviously suffering from the wet winter.

Played Dunston Hall forcrge 2nd time and once again the course was a pleasure to play on. Fairways were a little muddy in places but the greens were very good. Staff were cheerful and helpful and members made to feel welcome

Beautiful day lovely well kept greens .

Too many leafs about creating lost balls .

Not enough times between golf tee times I.e 4 some followed by 2 some in. 2 min followed by me alone 1 min followed by 2 some in 2 min hence everyone waiting in front and behind this makes people make mistakes and have a very poor round as I did.

I'll try not to play alone in future.

First time around Dunston. Really enjoyed it. Lots of water and challenging greens. Only negative i would say would be how gravely it was just under the surface. Damaged a few clubs, i think maybe of thrnY areas when playing iron shots. So just be careful about taking divots.

Course was in excellent condition, both fairways and greens. Although the course was busy (as was to be expected on a Sunday) play moved along at a decent pace and we completed our round in 3hrs 45. Very enjoyable round and will book again in the near future.

I went out with three members who were very helpful, however there was quite a lot of slow play in front of us. The course was in great condition with some testing holes , I really enjoyed my round .thanks.

Dunston offers terrific value with rounds available from £10 after 3pm.

It's relatively short course but beautifully maintained & offers a number of varied challenges.

Good scores are possible round here, but many of the shorter holes are protected by narrow fairways, plenty of trees & a few water hazards so accuracy is a premium over length.

Being a big hitter I enjoyed the challenge of tighter fairways with well placed bunkers, taking mostly irons off the tee! Greens in good condition. Only negative was the slow pace of play which started to frustrate by the 8th hole
