Great setup
I visited with my son and was impressed with the setup, felt new and modern. The tee boxes were a bit dry and hard to tee up but it’s been so dry recently. We enjoyed the course there are not too many hazards to avoid and the design feels like most holes are dog leg left. Worth checking out and would visit again for sure.
Very dry.
Tee boxes rock hard. Struggle to put a tee in. Greens very firm but quick and roll very well. Could do with watering.
The course plays ok, varied holes with different levels of difficult and the greens were well kept. The issue I had was the pace of play, as it is a fairly short course, there was a lot of waiting around on tee boxes, 2 to 3 groups at a time. On another note the tee boxes were solid, fair enough a very warm day so you expect it to be dryer, however impossible to play with wooden tees
First time playing at Norfolk premier club
First time at the course. Very nice with nice staff James made me feel very welcome.
Off-coarse amenities are really good
Everything went smoothly, and the course was in decent condition. I had a great time playing 18 holes. Unfortunately, I left one of my irons on hole 5, and no one turned it in, so I’m a bit skeptical about the honesty of the people there. We were scheduled to tee off at 12:55 and had to wait around 20 minutes. There were also quite a few groups behind us waiting to start.
Great value
2nd visit here and found it a great course, plenty of little challenges, weather on the day I went wasn't to good very windy, but still enjoyable. Booked with an online app, paid £18 which is good 18 holes.
Awful Golf course.
Found the staff very rude, creating a hostile and intimidating atmosphere. The golf course is nothing to desire, many better alternative options around Norwich. Would not recommend to anyone trying to get into golf to visit this golf club, as don’t want anyone else feeling how I felt, after leaving here after my visit.
Pleasantly surprised!
I recently started playing again and have been playing on courses in and around Norwich for a couple of months.
I've seen 'hot deals' for this course a number of times but have avoided it on account of some negative reviews and the fact that it is a 9-hole course; I should have played here sooner.
Yes, it's a 9-hole course and you play from the same tee boxes on your second go around. Yes, it is quite short, in truth you can leave the Driver in the bag, and yes the fairways were a little 'furry', but it is a really enjoyable course, particularly for those of us with a higher handicap.
It is not without challenge, loose shots do get punished in the 'shin high' rough, but it isn't too thick, so you can usually find your ball and recover. Although the tress that line the fairways are young and not particularly imposing, the course is set in mature parkland and is not nearly as 'boring' as the photographs on this app suggest.
Greens were perfectly acceptable and ran true, tee boxes were well kept and the course has a 'Trackman' driving range (I didn't use it).
If you've played the 9-hole at Bawburgh, in comparison this is (in my view) much better. I will definitely play here again, not least because I have struggled to break 100 since returning to golf and shot 91 today, so it's good for moral!
First round.
First round in a very long time and first time playing here. Certainly a new coarse, with lots of young trees growing between holes. I would say coarse is a good beginner coarse, as it has wide fairways. Will return later in year for another round.
Norfolk premier golf
For the price the venue was ok.
I was a little surprised to find this wasn’t a full 18 hole and it was a double 9, but that’s down to me with research.
The course itself was acceptable and fairly well kept.
Having no “19” hole ( Bar facility) was also a little surprising which is always nice to round off your game.
Love playing here
We play here quite regularly. The course is short but challenging even for an ex 6 handicapper. We usually get round in 3 hours in the afternoon as it is normally quite that time of day.
The course was alot better condition than expected for a new course after all that rain we had. The 8th/17th is an excellent par 5.
Loved it
I teed off at 2pm so it was reasonably quiet. Although not a massive technical challenge, I really loved the course layout. The only negative was how wet the fairways and greens were.
Not bad for the money
Can’t complain for the money, thought the grounds could of done with a little extra maintenance, also no one’s fault partially but our buggy died half way through playing was told to carry on by foot, which wasn’t ideal as I have a dodgy knee hence why we get the buggy.
