Green fee doesn’t reflect the golf course
Some recent damage to hole 4 green. Staff were aware of this. However I wasn’t made aware before teeing off. Which brings my attention to all golf greens after. There all damaged. A leak of some kind has left wet brown patches everywhere. These aren’t burn marks neither. Someone needs to investigate further. Slow play I suppose didn’t help the situation neither.
Great value coarse
Back to Sprowston for the 7th or 8th time now, and the coarse is as good as ever, if not better than the 1st time I played here in 2012.
Very true greens, and when the pins are central, a good approach shot will always give you a chance.
Fairways are very generous, and pristinely cut, and the bunkers are furnished with fine sand, and very few stones.
The biggest disappointment was the clubhouse was closed at 17.30, on what up to now has been the hottest day of the year, when a refreshing cold beer would have rounded off a fantastic days golf
The course layout is great greens are med easy a little slow
We arrived on time a we had to play we with two other people not expected but they played in front which made it a little slow but overall a good game. Course was a little damp some muddy patches but we have had a lot of rain.
Excellent Course
Excellent course and facilities. Good price for this well maintained course. Deep filled bunkers that give you a good chance of escape. I played on a day the greens were slow but still challenging. Overall a really positive experience. If I had one issue it was the slow play but hey it was a lovely autumn sunny day so it didn’t matter.
A lovely well presented parkland course with challenging slopes on the greens
It is a very pleasant experience playing here which was only slightly spoilt by the very slow play of a visiting syndicate,I believe, who failed to rake any of the bunkers used..however we will return to play it again.good value for money.we did not have time to visit the club house on this occassion so cannot comment on it.
Sprowston Manor - good condition, but slow play
Despite playing a round following an extended period of wet weather, the course was well looked after and the greens were quick.
Unfortunately, we set off following a society group so play was fairly slow, and this was exacerbated by the club booking us and a separate group on the same tee time. Talking to a couple of members this appears to commonly happen.
It was a nice course and I look forward to playing again.
Good course
Overall good condition but the range needs serious attention. The mats are horrific - would be better off practicing elsewhere before the round.
Great condition for the time of year
The course was in fantastic condition for the time of the year. Both the greens and tee boxes were immaculate and there were no temporary greens. The only thing that was annoying was for two holes we had 2 guys with leaf blowers and a tractor blowing leaves around the green. They didn’t stop whilst we were playing and I had to hit a lob wedge over a bunker whilst I had a leaf blowing tractor drive right behind behind me. Other than that it was great.
Great course, it’s in a good condition, thought it’s bit pricey at discounted round of £30
Good condition for this time of year
The pace of play was slow , we let a 1 ball through the older guys in front dis not the poor guy ended up walking off frustrated without finishing the front 9 .
We were a 2 ball clearly held up the whole way round no f s given . If you are in a 4 ball and slower let people through especially single players .
Apart from that course was good greens in great condition for this time of the year
Meh
Was ok, greens terrible, pace of play terrible, otherwise not bad but didn't seem like great value given the course condition.
Good course good value
Considering the dry weather we have had course is in good nick . Greens ran true bunkers well kept . All in all great day out .
